    Confession:
We moved into our new house a few years back and just months after being here, a flashlight fell out of an over toilet cabinet and broke the tank lid.
It was like $60+ to replace it but it was in the master so no one was going to see it, so I let it go. Finally recently, it was bulk trash day and a neighbor had their toilet in bulk trash. Same toilet as mine… w a perfectly good tank lid.
I told my husband “STOP THE TRUCK!” And I jumped out without explaining hoping no neighbors would see me taking a toilet tank lid… just then, a couple of walkers came around the corner just in time to see me jumping in the truck w the toilet tank lid LOL

Want to save on toilet paper? Get a bidet attachment. Yeah there's an upfront cost but you won't use near as much paper.

For some people, the cut their own hair thing really works. I'm a guy with zero caring about fashion, my style is 3/8" buzz, and when my hair is long enough that I have to do anything with it at all after getting out of the shower, I chop it off again. I don't even know what barbers charge for haircuts, but I'm sure my $30 clippers have paid for themselves hundreds of times over.

I do find two of the best ways to be frugal are to buy used (cars, furniture, household goods, kid clothes, etc) and have reusable items instead of disposable (using rags instead of paper towels, reusable water bottles, I even cloth diapered my four kids. But I draw the line toilet paper. "Family cloth" never appealed to me 😂)

About the only one I personally agree with on this list is cutting my own hair (since I already do it and it turns out pretty good) the only other one I would consider is marrying someone frugal IF we're on the same page. If we agree about what to be frugal on, and agree being each other's accountability partner, then sure. But if my partner to be wants to do stuff like using newspaper as TP and using my hair as pillow stuffing, then HARD PASS!!!
Edit: After re-listening, I will say: I have found stuff on the side of the road in nice neighborhoods that I've picked up (but looking IN someone's trash can? HECK NO! And instead of fake flowers, just get creative with what you already have to put in your yard)
