    Hello from Canada - I have been riding various motorcycles for 42 years - I was a marine mechanic and a Honda dealer. Your video is very good.
    Just one thing -- wear some solid protection gloves, your hands are the first things to reach out to the road if you go over.

      @@AjithBuddyEnglish I have instructed at 2 motorcycle safety schools in Canada.
      The first thing to teach a new or non rider is how to stop a motorcycle before starting the engine. I have that lesson written if you would like a copy of it.

    This is a remarkable video with superb explanation and suggestions for anybody looking to improve engine health and life. Thank you brother, it was amazing and very clear. My doubt is whether this applies to CVT engines like scooters also, because for my new scooter, I have been following most of the steps that you have recommended but since i have to ride on highway a lot, i am not able to vary the engine speed/rpm too much. but i have been strictly keeping it below 50kmph. it has been 850km. Please advise brother, i hope riding for 40-45 kmph for 80-90% of the time wont damage the engine??

    Hornet vs Apache 160 4v vs Fzs v3 vs Gixxer.
    Which is best to buy. My priorities are a) mileage of 45km
    b) Can you tell me, of the above options which is best in quality and can be used without any issues more than 5 years.
    c) Availability of spares and cost of maintenance.
    In the market, there is lot of confusion arises in bike enquiries. Some people are saying that the above bike engines are working properly for 1-2 years only and some regarding non availability of spares for above bikes.
    Could you please suggest me a correct bike according to my priorities.

    • @AjithBuddyEnglish
      @AjithBuddyEnglish  4 года назад

      All four of them are excellent bikes in the category. Hornet, 160 4v and gixxer are better in power and mileage. Spares availability depends on your region. All these bikes' engines will easily last more than 5 years for sure. Take a test ride of all and decide

    Ajith, great information in clear and detailed manner. One doubt.
    In the new Jawa(6 gears and no tachometer), should we ride on all the gears occassionally without over revving. That would surely cross the recommended speed limit.
    Also, read somewhere that it is a good idea to change the oil after 500 kms. Then again at the first service. What is your advice?

    • @AjithBuddyEnglish
      @AjithBuddyEnglish  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, you should use all gears and can occasionally go above the speed limit for that. I think that's an unnecessary oil change when first service is 250-500km away. Thank you Tom 😍

Also it has been 3 days I got the bike and rode only 130kms. I'm really concerned about the engine life.

      New engines heats up, that's common. What kind of sound are you hearing? May be it's the tappet noise.. Anyway don't worry much as most issues be solved itself when it run more kms. You just take care of the engine and wait until first service. And tell the issues to the service center. They'll rectify it. Happy riding 👍🏻

    Nice video bro! I recently did my first long drive(300kms) on the apache 200 . I faced some discomfort in my lower end tail bone while riding. I feel it is the seat which is causing this. Is this common or should I buy some air cushion for the seat? What do you suggest?

      Thanks bro 👍🏻💖 I didn't felt such issue. You should buy the air cushion if it's not comfortable.

      I had similar issue.... realized that it's actually the way we postition ourselves on the bike.. I just pulled myself back and corrected the way I rest my arm on the handle that took care of it.

      👍🏻yes brother, a little bit leaned forward posture is better for our tail bone rather than sitting upright

      Definitely brother. But do not let the engine to over heat. If it's a highway run(in low speeds) then no problem. But in traffic the new engine may heat up quickly. If so take breaks frequently.

    Sir i got my Dominar 250 recently and i rode it 40 Kms upto now in which 10 Kms i was pretty harsh on the throttle, i redlined it several times and the remaining 30 kms i rode it gently within 4k-5k RPM
    with a speed of 50-70. Now, when i came to know about Engine Break-In period i am not going to rev it hard anymore. But please tell me about that 10 Kms which i have ridden harshly , will it realy affect my engine ?
    Just for my Consern Sir..

    Bro which lub is best for chain lubrication

    • @AjithBuddyEnglish
      @AjithBuddyEnglish  4 года назад

      I have used motul and TVS chain lube, and found TVS' is more lasting in rainy ride. Some says gear oil is better than chain lubes, but have to test that..
