An amber message with no box indicates that there is no checklist, but you may look in the “unannunciated” tab. It wont go into vnav path cuz you had the speed window open. Once the vdev scale centers u have to give the speed control back to the plane otherwise it will prioritize speed over path. I believe it does it even in a geometric segment of the descent, essentially whenever you speed intervene you d be in vnav speed. In 787 logic is changed, once the vdev scale centers it will capture the vnavpath, regardless of if u were speed intervening or not in anoher word plane always prioritizes the path.

In all other phases, the pitch mode does not change with speed intervention."
You know far more about the aircraft than I do, but to me that would seem to indicate that during a descent, opening the speed window kicks it into VNAV SPD, and it may not want to go back into VNAV PTH until the speed window is closed (later in the video you have the speed window closed and VNAV PTH is once again active).

That was a terrible landing for someone that claims to be a real 777 pilot. Very rough and way over centre line. Thank goodness you’re retired.😉

Thank you, my former co-pilots are relieved too! Thanks for taking the time to make that lovely comment.

If you didn't know, pilots don't land every landing perfectly. and this is a sim with a static screen and chair, so the joke is in YOU for making any reference to real aviation.
Probably one of those simmers who thinks if you can butter land in the sim, then a real-world landing will be the same. in 2024 and so uninformed. It really is lovely as stated by the pilot
