@@FatherTime1958 excuse me I have a question and I don’t know if you can help but I’m having a moral dilemma. I think my attitude towards Microsoft community comes to my hatred towards Microsoft but I won’t get into details ever. That’s my personal reason But I do have a general question Years ago, I heard from a 737 pilot or was he an A320 pilot? And he said Microsoft flight simulator 2020 is just not good enough But I want to ask from a pilot who has recently retired and who has used Microsoft flight simulator for a good amount of time In your professional opinion Which similar would you recommend someone prepared? Or Microsoft flight simulator which one do you reckon feels more comfortable for a pilot from a pilots perspective? Because I want to know what a pilot things because I think I’m generally making bad attitude towards people because of my prejudice towards the simulator because of the owners and I want to know what does a pilot thing so if you see this and you get some time or if you could make a video, I would generally love to know Thank you you’re super kind by the way

@@cameronrowan8126 I guess you’re right. However, it’s more making light of their youthful ways than their sex. IRL, they run the whole range of humanity back there, so it might not be too inaccurate to run across pilots and FAs that cover the spectrum of professionalism and personalities.

@@FatherTime1958 absolutely, I was just a taken aback slightly by the default FA audio being coming from the typical “ditzy” perspective most of the world have on them. I assume that might be more an AI preconception rather than the humans making it, but certainly no reason to not make them professional. Great video, though, love love love what you do!!

@@FatherTime1958 I use the Standard aircraft types and airframe in simbrief which already defines types like the 777, MD-11 Including the TFDI MD-11 I checked) as Heavies, so assuming you also used the standard air types/frames yourself SI should have picked it up as well if like BATC SI is getting that from Simbrief!

Agreed. I know that BATC is also trying to improve their AI

Airbus has now fixed their wing issues, but that definitely was their Achille's Heel back then. I still loved the A300-600, and the GE CF-6 engines are the best.

We didn't do a very good job with that engine loss, that's for sure!

This is fun to hear. I look forward to hearing whether or not you're comfortable in the plane after the series is complete!

Great to hear. I love the iNiBuilds A300-600. I'll get back to it soon. I try to keep my airplane to two at a time. I went over to the A300-600 when TFDi went down for a month for MD-11 rebooting. Thanks again! Jeff

@@Jason8314 I think they’re important. I know when I was learning to do this stuff, cold/dark start-ups had the detail I needed. I time-stamp most of my videos for those wanting to jump ahead. However, longer videos definitely do not get the views.

It is expensive. No argument there. Both Beyond ATC and Say Intentions work for me, but they are effective in different situations. Beyond ATC is awesome for vanilla profiles, and they are working towards better AI for non-normal situations. They are also currently less expensive. Say Intentions has the flexibility I need for content creation simply due to their AI.

Flight simulation is the greatest hobby that I have ever stumbled upon. I’ve only been at it less than two years, but I’ll never stop. Yes, it absolutely does bring me back to the old days. It is beyond cool!

@@mhilderbrand7693 I did some videos on Beyond ATC. It’s really cool too. The AI aspect of SI sets it apart. However, SI is twice as expensive at the moment!

Hi, thank you for taking the time to comment. It’s perfectly safe, as long as you don’t do a hard landing. I mentioned a couple of times in the video that I would have dumped to max landing weight, but I was simulating a cargo fire that did not extinguish. That fact precipitated landing ASAP.

I''m afraid that I don't fully understand your question. I don't think that you can create custom scenarios on FSiPanel beyond placing yourself at various positions/stages of flight. I wish that there was software where we could all do what FSiPanel does with creating scenarios. That would be wild!

Hi Eugene. Always a pleasure to hear from you. Both apps are awesome, and both are vast improvements over MSFS’s traffic/ATC programs. I haven’t decided which one I like best, because both have strengths and weaknesses. In addition, both are still ALPHA/experimental in many areas. The problem with noting the deficiencies is they may be corrected the next day. Neither is ready to be trusted on radar vectors in IMC conditions, but both are struggling to get there. These are exciting times in the flight simulation world with programs such as BATC and SI on the market!!!! Talk to you soon. Jeff

All true. Beyond ATC is great if you are inexperienced with ATC, as they give you choices, but Say Intentions is better for guys like me who can ask and receive exactly what we need. Someday soon I would expect that both programs will work for both of us.

That the beautiful that about flight simulation, we can all find our place in the sim-world and ALL of us can be challenged.

I don’t think so. I’ve only flown a couple of flights, but I had to be very direct in my intentions and requests. Their AI prowess makes it fun to make requests, but thus far their vectoring is not there. I read that they are working hard to get there.

Vatsim is a great idea, especially for real pilots, like yourself, who are used to the real ATC experience. Do you think you might get meal service during your 9 hrs? I look forward to seeing how you get on with "Cross the Pond" I think you will like it.

@stretchedits definitely no meal service. I’ve already done it twice in October of 2023 and April of 2024, and the cabin crew was a no-show.

I keep checking back in with the RHD product, but I haven’t done another video because i do not want to be critical.

I sure did get lucky. It’s a fun, but very long day, so it’s nice to at least get a start time that finishes when you need to.

I agree. I have flown with a couple of guys like him. Maybe not so animated, but when you're calling your old Captain "Dude" it does make me chuckle.

I think that it’s going to be awesome when the get the vectors and sequencing a little further along, and the ground taxi instruction is definitely in the Alpha stage. I’m going to use either a bunch.

You just made my week!!!! Thank you so much. During the development I felt like the ALPHA and BETA videos were just out there is no-where land. I rarely heard from anyone, but such is the life of a Quality Assurance guy.

@@hossbert this video Traffic Add-on is “Say Intentions”, but I also work with “BeyondATC” in other videos. Another training app is FSIPanel, but that is more for pattern work and pre-canned “scenarios”.

@@FatherTime1958FSIpanel is one of the best investments I've made in this sim. If you don't have time to do a full flight it's perfect. Practice approaches and landings in all aircraft

I think they are fine. To be honest, I haven’t paid much attention to the sounds. I’m more concerned with the avionics and flight handling characteristics, which both are great. I’ll check out the sounds next flight.
