  • Welcome to the first part of our GR Yaris upgrade series on Darryl's Rallye!
    In this video, we kick off the journey by going over the upgrades that include: a Weldspeed intake plenum, GCG turbo, Kelford cams, Kelford springs, Lamspeed head studs, and our Denstoj Rocker Retainers.
    We then tear down the G16E-GTS engine and install the springs.

      Good on you :) awesome to hear you and your friend are keen to get hands on. You might have to watch the video just a couple more times while you're doing it ;). Having the right tools will be important too.

    What’s the purpose of the compressed air that you have running to the spark plug hole?

      Thank you! Another video coming on Saturday morning (Aus time). The compressed air screwed into the spark plug hole is used to push up against the valves to hold them in place while we remove the valve collets to swap the valve springs over. Otherwise, when we remove the valve springs and collets, the valves will drop inside the combustion chamber. Less work than having to remove the cylinder head.

    Where in the heck do I find repair manual on this engine. I would like to do this but I need tq specs for everything
