  • First video in Stockholm and also first time cycling on icy roads and snow!
The video starts on the only bridge connecting the island of Lidingö (where I live) to Stockholm. This old bridge will soon be replaced with a new, larger one. A true cycling highway with 4 lanes! I can't wait to try it out.
I only realized it when editing the video: 100% of the trip was separated from motor traffic! This is absolutely insane compared to what I was used to in Paris and it was so relaxing.
    Route: goo.gl/maps/NK...
    Bicycle: BMC Alpenchallenge AC02 One
    Camera: GoPro Hero 8 Black
    Audio recorder: Tascam DR-05X

*another cool video riding with Urban Dreamist, thanks! note: here in Brazil we never have snow, only in some states in the south near Argentina and Uruguay, even so little.)

Neat to see a new city! Good luck learning winter biking skills! It is definitely a new skill to learn to bike in cold and snowy conditions. I found it most difficult to learn how to dress so I don't overheat, but I also keep my hands and toes warm. This winter I bought pogies, also called bar mitts, for my bike handle bars, and they are wonderful!

Thanks for the tips! I looked up pogies, they looks neat. I was also considering regular mittens. Gloves are definitely not enough when it is really cold.

@@urbandreamist I find mittens make it hard to shift or grab my brakes. I like pogies because I can wear very thin gloves inside and maintain dexterity.

@@urbandreamist hahaha it’s all right, it’s just not the first choice but it’s a cool bike nevertheless. I have a Trek, not many had that when I got it and it looks like a tank so I always get the “eyes” too but it’s fine :)

It is great here, very relaxed compared to Paris. I guess people feel better when they have more space and nature close-by.
