I love the fact that you run with other local athletes and not all pro athletes but people that just want to get better. You don’t see other high profile triathletes training with locals only with others pro triathletes. Like techno on bike banging tunes out and the powerful pensioner who’d kick my arse that’s for sure. Just really hard training with other locals no big egos love it Joe. If you struggle to do a session like that on asphalt with the current shoes available then i don’t know how you will get round a half marathon/marathon in a race without your body breaking down.
@@joeskipper91 . Any chance to run on grass I would do it for the joy of it. I bought assics 25 years ago for 100 quid . Ouch. And once I ran 11 miles in 55 mins on the road. But it destroys me. And my ACL was severed at 19 . Endofday I love tri but you need good knees and hip. Just bike now. Love it crave it
@@adamkevern8764 i would run on grass and trails for easy runs but not really for a session like this where you want to hit splits and get a good indication with where your fitness is. Also didn’t have any muscle soreness after the session and in the coming days so didn’t find it a problem.
@@joeskipper91 I use to run on Hayle beach Cornwall 9 miles long. When the tide pulls out and the sand is wet but firm . And you can really fly because it gives a little and feels safer. What a high . But i noticed you lose alot of weight. Which affects swim strength. Gain in one area and lose in another
You Obviously havent done a 4 × 5 Km Running Session and Felt the Body Heat Built up Substantially. The Longer you Run at that Speed the Hotter the Body gets.Focus on the Good Content and Information these Athletes Provide the Public. Saw you in Noosa Heads on the Cycle Track a few years back Running Mr Skipper and You were a Good Role Model for Active People and More Importantly A True Gentleman 😎
SHAME about no footage of overtaking 9 pros on bike leg @ lake placid. 3.5hrs missing on video. But what a fuckin bike leg and result . Perhaps that Wales performance fitness is coming back. Mega

3x40 mins on turbo. Start the clock when 160 BPM min is achieved. Try to breath in through nose throughout. It's a good one . Don't bother with watts
Need sprint finish at the end of each set , for that bit extra . Not sure how you could do it without a finish line tho.

Done 4 x25k on Cornish coast rd yesterday. Turn back at st just. One of the best and fun , stunning rd in UK. On my Principia rex . Yeehaaa

I think I would have run on the grass more . For more cushioning. Perhaps it's slower. Or more chance of sprain ankles. Nice spot tho.
