All BDK needs is some ST damage and maybe some talent adjustments, lot of dead talents.
I play this game solo a lot of the time. The most important thing for me is being able to reliably solo rares, with bonus points if they're elite, too. I remember getting an immense high in BfA when I was able to take down the Stone Golem in drustvar on my prot pally, with clever use of movement, range, stuns, and self-heals. It sounds to me like a BDK could literally just have eaten it, though. If so, I know my new main. I don't mind the low damage, I just HATE dying. I'll try one out soon, I think.

i'm absolutely here for the chapter titles 😍 I love this style of video though, entertaining and informative with actual context for the things you're saying is super useful.
As a 4 year BDK main, I love these type of videos / analysis for my spec. I am looking to branch out to some other tanks to try for S3 in DF but Death Strike / Grip are my current crutches holding me back from being okay at other tanks haha
Even now im loving my bdk compared to the other tanks. The single target damage is definitely low but as long as i manage my CD’s/ defensives properly I feel super tanky and damn near unkillable. Plus the amount of mob control from grip and slappy hands is crazy good

I disagree about the aoe threat for bdk. I think holding threat in aoe as a vdh is vastly harder. A common misconception is that sigil of flame and immo aura just lock in threat and it’s not true. The biggest threat generator for vdh is actually infernal strike, except you can’t just infernal strike into mobs and expect to live.
100% agree. I've recently leveled every tank in game and started doing at minimum +11s to farm out wyrm crests on all of them. Vdh imo is by far the worst for AOE threat. Their snap AOE threat is basically non-existent. Sigil is clunky cause of the delay and imo aura doesn't really have great range for some of those sloppier pulls that have casters all over the place. I hear people rave about how good DH tanking is but I personally absolutely hate it. I'm also not a fan of how it feels like you only have 1 big defensive ability with meta, which is great and all but the 3 minute cool down sucks ass. The mobility with DH is good but the rest of the tanking experience is butt cheeks. I'm probably just playing it wrong though I guess
@@hotdoghoagie1646 their snap aoe treat only exist if you have souls from the previous pull so you can spirit bomb right away. in 10.2 Meta will be 2min now and fel dev now is pretty much a 25 second cd if you talent into darkglare boon at the bottom of the tree.
I really wished they removed Death and decay, and gave us something like dh aura, hate standing in one place like blood or prot paladin

11:00 I didin't get how paladin deals better with damage over time effects? SoR is just armor and there is WoG for self heal which feels horribly to use if it is not free. I have been recently playing some tanks as DPS main. so idk much about tanks yet.
Paladins take reduced damage from all sources while in Consecration, and they take even further reduced damage based on their block chance while in Consecration-effectively, they're able apply their Spell Block to DoT effects.

The most annoying thing about Blood DK, is you're basically kept alive merely by what seems to be 6-8 defensive cds of some kind.
It's fun ti play, but gets tiring very quickly.

Bruh all I wanted to was play death knight on the new dragon flight and now it’s locked in the main screen as soon as I bought dragon flight paid for a new subscription, absolutely hate this bull shit how I’m not able to use a character I paid for.
Well, we are not Blizzard support, but you need to level something else to either 8 or 10 (not sure) before you can unlock the DK hero class.

There's no way holding threat as bdk is harder than vdh, vengence can barely get initial threat and all thier "high threat" moves do nothing
Vdh got completely reworked, and is probably going to be the best tank in the next season, so I don't think their is going to be a better tank at hold threat
@@orsikbattlefate3976 eh, VDH is better offensively and has better utility but let's not overstate this "rework" it's fine but the same weaknesses are still on the PTR.
Two of the most boring tanks in the game guardian druid and bdk.
