  • Personal opinion:
I've had this bass for like 5 days, and I have some things to say. To begin with, this is a classic instrument known for decades, it's tone (also with the P bass) has been in so many records all along it's existence. Sincerely, Fender has dissapointed me in the last years (since 2013), specially the Mexican (standard) manufacturing, and I'll mention the reasons:
    - I own a Fender MIM Strat (2004) and have tried a lot of Fender guitars, and I can say that the quality from the ones made since 1990-2007 is so much better than the actual production (do not take this as a hate comment, I am only expressing what I think), and it's because the sound, the wood, the paint and hardware feel so much different, to me is like they had taken a big step back.
    - Not all recent guitars or bass guitars are bad. As far as I concern, every instrument is different, and it happens that Mexican guitars can be better than American ones, or even an Squier, I do not discriminate brands.
This Jazz Bass has been one of the best Fender (MIM) basses I have tried, not only for it's comfort, also because of it's sound. The track is a littled eq'd, also the compression (EHX Bass Preacher) takes a roll there, but, man, if only you were here to listen to it live...
I share this comment to all the people that wants to buy a Fender guitar or bass, try it, don't trust any post, comment or video, go to your local music store and try everyone you can, go with an expert if you can, you can get a really nice one, just like this bass (not mine, if you think I'm throwing flowers to my own bass, haha).
If you have some extra questions, leave a comment below, I'll answer as fast as I can. Also, sorry for my English, or if any idea wasn't well expressed.
    See you guys soon!
