Good morning gentlemen . Seen this transformation many times in 54 years + of the motortrade and the thrill never dwindle's !!!! You simply take on the challenge !!! Brilliant !
I nearly scared the missus to death when I shouted 'Noooooo' when that brush came.out just after 4 mins!! Those brushes terrify me on cars, I use them on the trucks!! Invest in some good old sponges. Not bothered about those microfiber mits.....
what an amazing transformation! you two have really returned some dignity to the old lass. and something must be said for the lucas switchgear's resistance to forced steam. prince of darkness, foiled!
Well done, she looks a treat, came up really nice, keep on top with a Polish, fabulous car, was looking at the wings, look massive 6ft maybe. Great video
Was surprised to see how much the bumper vibrates when you were cleaning it , maybe does this when driving and extra noise , love the way you bring things back to life
Fantastic, she came up gorgeous. Just needs a full size leaper on the bonnet and it would look identical to the one I had in the 1990's. One thing I would do and as I did with my 3.4L, change the seats to leather. I bought the interior out of scrap 5.3L XJ12 that was in a scrapyard in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. Great video, fabulous car, makes me want to get on sorting my XJ8 ASAP. My 4.2L XJ6 is a long, long way of being restored, but the XJ8 can soon be useable given time.
G’day and greetings from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 what a terrific job that you have done it’s remarkable what a bit of time and effort can achieve, and that’s the interior as well. I use steam as well and nothing compares to it in a spray bottle anyway. I’m new to the channel so I look forward to see more, especially the restoration of the mini . Regards John
Quality. I love Daimler/Jaguar/Vanden Plas series 1,2,3 cars. The only thing i would change on this car is the cloth interior seats. I know it left the factory like it but Ive always wanted the leather interior. Nice job lads. Maybe do a Humber or something like that next👍
"Cruelty free"? How do you know any "Cruelty" was involved and how do you know any creature doesn't suffer making anything for anyone? Leather seats are like all leather goods, natural, beautiful and not going to waste!
Best thing for pitted bumpers and hub caps is Brillo pads and water..... You'll never get rid of all the pitting without a re-Chrome.... But it'll be better than nowt...
That was the same colour as my XJC coupe 4.2 manual with overdrive it was a 1977 tan leather black vinyl roof I bought it 1985 for £400 great cars the XJ6
Very nice transformation… I’m sure the brightwork will come back with a bit more effort. It seemed a bit odd spraying on the Elbow Grease stuff and then steaming it off straight away instead of rubbing it in and letting it sit, but it seemed tonwork well. Probably best to take the seats out and clean and dry them away from the car ? Anyway enjoy the car, it seems to be running really sweetly now….
Lovely job 👍🏻 don't think they used clear coat back then , wud it have been primer and colour 🤔 come lovely either way , Always been Jag mad tbh since a kid , my late Uncle had a series 2 XJ12 in 1977 , Mreg 73 yr lavender blue beautiful car's ❤ , always been tempted to buy one just hope it wud'nt be a case of don't meet you're heroes 😅
Foil will bring your bumper back but it takes a while, just use the foil on its own dry, back in the day I used to fix up old Vauxhall’s from the 50s and 60s I used it on all but the worst
Fergus Dublin Ireland Its always been Jaguar and Mercedes for me. I've one of each at the moment and trying to sell both, to buy a nice classic :-) You've done a beautiful job, definitely subscribing. Till next time, Fergus
Great job but I hope you're going to replace those totally perished front and rear screen seals, when the pressure washer came out I thought damp carpets and rusty floor pans, give the good old Autosol and finest grade steel wool a go, once again great job.
Super work gents.. One 'tiny' criticism though.. the old style (incorrect age-related black/silver number plates) don't enhance the cars' overall look.. Anyone disagree 🤷🏼♂️🤔
I agree, wants the old raised plastic numbers on white and yellow, black and alloy ones went out by say he reg, legal up to 72 but no one was fitting them in the 70s,not groovy enough.
So good watching the two of you working together!!! Don't let him get wet!!
46 years old. The build quality of the 1970s wasn't that bad. Despite what they'd have us believe. Great car.
Looking nice.. I would try some autosol with wire wool on your chrome I always found that to work very well.
Shiny racing green looks great all polished up guys, what an effort!!

The steam cleaner really got to town on that dirt and grime.
I think i will partake in one of those little steamers- Thanks chaps
I nearly scared the missus to death when I shouted 'Noooooo' when that brush came.out just after 4 mins!! Those brushes terrify me on cars, I use them on the trucks!! Invest in some good old sponges. Not bothered about those microfiber mits.....
Detailing cars sympathetically - not your forte then, boys..?
Love hearing the birds fabulous blackbirds..
Great videos, came up great, I did grimace a bit tho seeing water /steam all over the window switches.
That car had been well looked after, definitely cleaned recently.
I found that totally absorbing. Great job.
what an amazing transformation! you two have really returned some dignity to the old lass.
and something must be said for the lucas switchgear's resistance to forced steam. prince of darkness, foiled!

Well done, she looks a treat, came up really nice, keep on top with a Polish, fabulous car, was looking at the wings, look massive 6ft maybe. Great video
If they have designed a better looking car than the XJ6 i have yet to see it. Beautiful car!
Great job on cleaning and polishing car looks amazing 👍👍
Looking good guys. Elbow Grease says it all well done. Cheers
It's coming along very nicely men, well done.
The Jag look soooo different! :)
Was surprised to see how much the bumper vibrates when you were cleaning it , maybe does this when driving and extra noise , love the way you bring things back to life
It's probably chrome-coated rust at this point, so not very stiff.
That looks fantastic , well done to both of you

One of my top 10 favorites...Love them, they are classy🤗😍
Great stuff to use on the chrome,it’s called PINK,and it’s a creamy substance in a small tub and it’s a pinky colour,it’s great try it🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧🍺🍺
Looking good and that shot from above on the driveway looked very esquire like 😊
Bravo chaps, splendid job 👌👍

The car looks great - what about finding a leather seat set - thanks for gr8 vids boys
Before and after two different number plates?
Chrome.... blue magic & brillo pad, rinse with rubbing alcohol then spray on some wax-based sealant/polish for chrome
I think the window frames are stainless steel , maybe how they came up ok, compared to normal chrome on the bumpers ?
I always used brasso to clean my chrome. ❤
With Cruelty free seats I would love this lovely old car.
"Cruelty free"? How do you know any "Cruelty" was involved and how do you know any creature doesn't suffer making anything for anyone? Leather seats are like all leather goods, natural, beautiful and not going to waste!
No polyesters were harmed in making this video
Apparently Coca Cola concentrate is the real deal, great work on the Jag, hope to see it floating along the Great North Road one day😂
Stunning
top job fella's
Looks fantastic

Such a classy motor. They really knew how to do it back then!

What happened to the mini guys, have you given up on it?
Just upped the value by 2k
Loving it well done 👏

Fantastique ❤
the bumper chrome is on metal, where as the trim around the door is plastic chromed, hence i think, it worked around the door.
it's real metal all round. I have a 1974 and it's definitely not plastic chromed
Oh dream wonderful
Extremely good video gentleman lovely Jag, very attractive looking car. Do you garage the car …👍🏻👍🏻
Great job but I hope you're going to replace those totally perished front and rear screen seals, when the pressure washer came out I thought damp carpets and rusty floor pans, give the good old Autosol and finest grade steel wool a go, once again great job.
Great work. How are you going to clean the carpets and upholstry as I guess that steam cleaner is not a vac type. In the next episode?
Also try Brasoin liquid form or fiber wadding🙏🙏
whats that grommet on the offside front wing? Is it where a "wing mirror" was originally?
Great episode, great car brilliant entertainment as usual - didn’t see much of the roof lining - how did that turn out?
have you ever tried a clay bar? really good results.
Two different cars in the thumbnail 😁🤣
around the windows is it chrome or polished laquered alluminium?
Stainless steel
Autosol works
Cars been painted in celelous be careful you don’t burn through with the mop machine
No way that was the 1st wash in 24 years
How come the number plates differ & the colours changed??
💙👊😎💙👊😎
Try Brillo pads
love the music. where is it from?
Its two different cars at the start. Look at the number plates😅
🤣 it had a personal registration.
Super work gents.. One 'tiny' criticism though.. the old style (incorrect age-related black/silver number plates) don't enhance the cars' overall look.. Anyone disagree 🤷🏼♂️🤔
Yes I agree with that. I think they look out of place. But what a super effort you boys have done on that paintwork
I agree, wants the old raised plastic numbers on white and yellow, black and alloy ones went out by say he reg, legal up to 72 but no one was fitting them in the 70s,not groovy enough.
That brush is no good, what you need is some steel wool....aaaarrrrgggghhh!!
Please get some period correct plates car looks amazing but is let down by these plates.
Lost your voices !
