If he scolded him, it would've broke the bond between Haoh and him. That's why it's tricky to teach kids about this stuff, because they're still innocent and it's hard to face the facts and tell them about bad people. Haoh is also a smart kid, he would've understood his dad was watching him and would've felt embarrassed, coming back to the bond thing.
I love that they did this because Haoh is objectively a really smart kid. He's advanced for his age. He's very clever and observant and he fell for CHOCOLATE. He ate the first thing she gave him. He ate something from a stranger. He followed her out. He got in a car. Gary didn't think he'd do that because of how smart he is but it doesn't matter how smart a child is. They're still a child. This really scared me. It was so easy. You have to watch your children.
It’s especially scary cause the kidnappers would be persistent and would wear down any cautious child no matter how clever they may be. Even if they got taught well. The criminals know what buttons to push and how to manipulate the child. The bad guys also gaslight kids and use their love for their parents or siblings to trap them. The criminals have all the power. This is why kids are victimized. Its really scary.
She is the best person for doing this, so friendly and knows how to interact with kids. It easy to be suspicious of a big mean looking man but she seems so trustworthy. This could be a second career for her
Kids are also more likely to trust women than men, especially if they are pretty. But they should be taught that even if a person seems really nice, that doesn't mean they are automatically good.
This is a lesson to ALL PARENTS, its important to educate kids but also important on how, because u can say it a thousand times but they wont remember. It is never a kid’s fault, at least not 100%. Why? Because even as adults, there are so many that fall for scams and lies, so what do you expect from a kid? Kidnappers are really good at this because its like their “job”, they are skilled, so u gotta be extra skilled and patience to educate your child and YOURSELF. Dont trust the environment so much and leave ur kid un attending
I think many are confused for whom the experiment was... It is for Mr. Gary to understand how easy it is to persuade child to go your way... Child is not supposed to protect himself, that's adults job... Mr. Gary did well. The moment he saw HaOh is in distress when the car didn't move, He reached to his child... Explained to him that being with stranger does this, he also shown him how his loved ones feel when you go missing... It is better lesson this way
"No, I want to eat chocolate" "You still want chocolate in this situation??" Proves that Hao is still such a kid lolol I find Gary's disbelief so funny thoo 😂. It's so smart they decided to show this so people can learn from it especially our Hao.
its never the kids fault. we have to educate them as parents but there is only so much a child can understand. all we can do as parents is always look out for our children. never leave them alone or out of your sight when in public places. when its crowded make sure to hold their hand tight or carry them. haoh is a smart kid but at the end of the day he is just a kid.
That's why it's the parent's responsibility to watch over them. Just educating them isn't enough. Children are children. They still don't grasp the gravity of such situation because they're very young.
I agree that we shouldn't leave kids alone but there is some smart kids like my sister She almost got kidnapped like this She was going back home with my brother and someone told them that he know my dad And he is going to drive them home My brother said yes but my sister grab my brother's hand Andy ran with him She told him to run as fast as he can She is younger than my brother (one year)
I'll just share this. This happened when I was 9 years old, me and my two sisters (11 yo and 7 yo) went to the convenience store. There was a guy following us in every side of the store we went (to the refrigerator, to the cashier, the table, and the newspaper shelf) and and I noticed it. I told my sisters to run and when we did get out of the convenience store, the man ride the motor and chased us. We ran to our church members (they went to our house often) and the man looks angry. He even stopped to see if our elders (church members) are going away. But we clung to them until our parents arrived. When it comes to strangers, I'm the most alert because I watched scenes where people got kidnapped.

This shows that always reminding your kids not to go with strangers does not always work. Even adults get scammed. So parents/guardians play a very significant role in a child’s safety.
Children are children, it is really important to teach them about and how to avoid and scape these situations. Like this, you'll raise a child who will be an adult that doesn't fall for scammers.
Hao was stubborn and he was doing well, but the fake kidnapper was patient and determined. This is because they know many things work with kids. If it isn't candy, then it could be toys, if not animals, if not places they think the kid would like to go.. The list of things you can persuade a kid with are endless. So even a smart kid like Hao was going to fall for something eventually.. There's even kidnappers that go to places as a regular, they target a kid and try to approach them some days, so then, slowly but surely a friendship is made with time. That's important, 'cause if you go with your kid to a place regularly make sure you always scan the place and make sure the kid is always playing with other children, never allow them to have a chat with an adult unless you know it's just another parent or a legit neighbour, but be there with your kid. This is great video ever. Hope open everyone eyes after see this video. Even your child is smart, they easy getting tricked or manipulated by adults.. That's why alot pedophile easy raping and manipulate alot under age people. Kidnapper too doesn't need alot of times to kidnap children. Everyone please aware about this situation. Don't trust anyone even your own husband. If suddenly your child always want spend more time alone and turn to completely silence. Please asked them what happens. And if those situations happen they telling you and u can't believe or accept it. Don't saying u not trust them. But saying u will protect them. Fast investigate on your own about it don't let it go or thinking time will heal those. Because it's never heal it. U need to be good parents and educate your own child well about all serious situations that might make them in danger.
I'm really glad to read this comment. There are also times, besides the kids being lured when the parents aren't around, it could be the parents who can't believe it or is in denial. The manipulator, rapist, etc. sometimes can be the adult is some kind of close adult friend to the family. The child musters up the courage to tell the parents and no ones believes them, when the child already feels shame, scared, and helpless. After hearing these stories, I'm really glad my parents always kept me in their sight as a child and was wary of where I was, who I am with, when I am out late as a teenager, even now as a young adult lol.
What I learned in a talk and after going throw some therapy for abuse. It's that 80% of the abuse are done by some family member, also that parents tend to give some confusing information like when a kid feels uncomfortable when giving a kiss or hug to a family or friends and we make them do it anyway we make them confuse of their own feelings, so later is more easy for another adult make them question why they feel uncomfortable and if they have the right to feel like that. Also the parents who applaud how many kids is so friendly with stranger... That's actually bad.
Haoh is a curious boy who likes chocolate so much and she used it to his disadvantage. This is scary and an eye opening. I hope he learns his lesson he is a smart kid.
This is a very good education episode for ALL parents. A kid will always be a kid no matter how smart he/she is. We adults can be deceived or tricked, let alone a kid. Kudos to Gary and the production team for coming up with this simulation. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I never got into a situation like this as a child, thankfully. This will make me more cautious than I already am, to also protect my children in the future. This made me learn a lot
why y'all blame ha-oh? this is just like simulation when kids got kidnapped. i think this simulation is good for parents, make parents more carefully about their person around them, parents can tell their kids just don't easy receive a gift from strangers. c'mon mate he's just 3, why y'all hate him?
I really enjoyed this. I've always found the 'no talking to strangers' rule interesting. Police officers, fire fighters, nurses, etc. are all strangers to children as well. I guess it's ensuring children know the difference between strangers to definitely stay away from and strangers that help in scary situations.
Wow... even tho it's only a drill, this is really crazy scary... oh god... idk how to feel, imagining this thing actually happens in real life... my god...
Children are so naive and curious, so parents should teach their child from early childhood not to talk to strangers and always be in touch, and it is better to install a tracker for their children.
This reminded me when I was a kid I think I was 6 or 7 yrs old.. my parents brought me to a park and suddenly few men offered me a candy.. I remember I said no and run to my parents as fast as I could..
This is a lesson I hope all parents will learn and realize. Never trust your kids with strangers and dont allow them to easily trust someone they dont know. This is scary.
we might educate the children but at the end of the day, its all on them if they apply it or not. Really could have been dangerous but atleast Gary now knows how easy the situation can happen.
It’s so easy. Don’t leave your kid alone. If you can’t be with him or her. Let’s other look after them. Kids doesn’t know anything but we adult should know better. With some persuasion of course they will fall for it.
Don't blame anyone here, the child is so innocent. Let the parents and child learn from this. Haoh is smart he will understand thr explanation of his appa here.
I mean if that was me of course I would be tempted but my mother always told me when I was a kid that if i ate a chocolate I have to go to the dentist and the dentist have to pull out a teeth from me so I never really tried doing it
The fact that Haoh said 'If I eat this or do that, mom and dad will scold me so I'll do it in secret' --Haoh is already smart but he need wisdom. Gary's approach will have to change and inform him the dangers and worries that could occur without quarreling or raising his voice.
Even though you educate your children not to follow strangers, it's also the responsibility of the guardians to always be on watch of the children. They are still little, and they would be always swayed of something, one way or another.
What's scary is HAO kinda rushing it so that he won't get caught. When he chose to get out, it's the same as he's eating the chocolate in secret. Honestly, I think HAO flustered more coz he got caught and break rules
So scary, but important. Even a child as aware and smart as Haoh can fall into temptation and even get into some sort of dangerous situation. He is still a child and is still always learning!
In Singapore, when we were young, we were taught not to eat things from stranger or follow them. In the past one of my neighbours' son went missing. Up till now could not trace him. He was around 10 years old then. Never leave your kids unattended.
I just realized that if real kidnappers would bring out a camera, It would look less suspicious specially for children that are drowned by the internet thinking that " this may be a prank OR for a TV show " that's scary

no ha oh would be traumatised by that
I mean there was cameras everywhere...they didnt even try to hide the ones in the car, so he probably thought it was someone from the production crew, and followed.
Agree with you...
100%.
"Don't trust anyone even your own husband." You live in a scary, sad world. Good thing it's not the real world.
Haoh is a curious boy who likes chocolate so much and she used it to his disadvantage. This is scary and an eye opening. I hope he learns his lesson he is a smart kid.
Love him so much .he is so cute 😘🌹
I think Haoh knowing that there are cameras and cctv's made a big factor for him to feel safe even in the presence of a stranger.
“No I want to eat chocolate” he has set his priorities straight
You know Gary wanted to cry the moment haoh said yes and started to walk off with her.
Why am I actually scared of that unnie although it’s acting :’)
Because of her huge eyes i think
why y'all blame ha-oh? this is just like simulation when kids got kidnapped. i think this simulation is good for parents, make parents more carefully about their person around them, parents can tell their kids just don't easy receive a gift from strangers. c'mon mate he's just 3, why y'all hate him?
I really like this kind of show. Its very helpful for those who are watching specially kids.. A lot of lesson you will learn. Good job ROS!
I really enjoyed this. I've always found the 'no talking to strangers' rule interesting. Police officers, fire fighters, nurses, etc. are all strangers to children as well.
I guess it's ensuring children know the difference between strangers to definitely stay away from and strangers that help in scary situations.
Wow... even tho it's only a drill, this is really crazy scary... oh god... idk how to feel, imagining this thing actually happens in real life... my god...
Gary is such a good father🥰
Children are so naive and curious, so parents should teach their child from early childhood not to talk to strangers and always be in touch, and it is better to install a tracker for their children.
Eye opener. Good effort by KBS and producer.
Entertainment + awareness.
My heart drop when Ha Oh said yes
This reminded me when I was a kid I think I was 6 or 7 yrs old.. my parents brought me to a park and suddenly few men offered me a candy.. I remember I said no and run to my parents as fast as I could..
wow, its really this easy. Even for a kid this smart
even he smart, he just a kid right
This is a lesson I hope all parents will learn and realize. Never trust your kids with strangers and dont allow them to easily trust someone they dont know. This is scary.
lesson: chocolates are evil keep your child away from them.
Or give enough chocolat to your child, so they don't need to take it from strangers, try to hide it from parents and lie.
@@Ainikki lmao there’s no such thing as enough chocolate
we might educate the children but at the end of the day, its all on them if they apply it or not. Really could have been dangerous but atleast Gary now knows how easy the situation can happen.
Jini was really persuasive. I'm 22 years old but even me would've fall for her words.
He's smart. He saw the cameras & knows it's not real.
haha true maybe he knows the staff is safe.
I mean if that was me of course I would be tempted but my mother always told me when I was a kid that if i ate a chocolate I have to go to the dentist and the dentist have to pull out a teeth from me so I never really tried doing it
I love how Gary didn’t just drag Haoh out and yelled at him. Many parents do that. But just by him looking at him ha oh knew he’s in some trouble.
This was a new perspective. Thank you for sharing!
I litterly cried i feel so bad for little kids!!🥺🥺
I feel like my heart is going to burst. I felt so worried abt Haoh
I felt like crying so bad
Somehow this make me cried.
Scary isn't it, Gary is such great Dad & i would of freaked out too.
What's scary is HAO kinda rushing it so that he won't get caught. When he chose to get out, it's the same as he's eating the chocolate in secret. Honestly, I think HAO flustered more coz he got caught and break rules
My niece is the same way. I baby sat her and she would always do things in secret so that she wouldn't get scolded so I can definitely agree.
love from sabah malaysia
So scary, but important. Even a child as aware and smart as Haoh can fall into temptation and even get into some sort of dangerous situation. He is still a child and is still always learning!
Kudos to TROS for educating parents about this.
Lol aww Gary starting talking to Haoh the he would to Kwangsoo and Jihyo back in the day.
I love Gary didn't freak out but, Jini giggling while Gary is asking why Haoh is there and the cameras, make it seem like a game at the end.
In Singapore, when we were young, we were taught not to eat things from stranger or follow them. In the past one of my neighbours' son went missing. Up till now could not trace him. He was around 10 years old then.
Never leave your kids unattended.
Long time no see you, Gary. From the last running man have you
I just realized that if real kidnappers would bring out a camera, It would look less suspicious specially for children that are drowned by the internet thinking that " this may be a prank OR for a TV show " that's scary
Woahhhh no matter how smart, he's still children👍 Garry did a good job for giving this kinda test to haoh. And also jinni she's really good! Shes really know how to attract children bcs of what she do. Hope we can see another episode with her👍
This is rly frightening I can only imagine what Gary felt!!!
