I find it kinda sad that she has worked so hard to assimilate to the korean culture, learning the language, eating the food, etc. but there does not seem to be any effort on her husband and his family to be open and learn her culture so she can feel a bit at home. It's like the expectation is all for her to fully change to fit in to them.

Unfortunately, Philippinos are very prejudiced in Korea because they are seen as a poorer country and the help. It is quite sad, tbh, because Philippino people are some of the most talented, beautiful, kind, fun, funny, hard working people I have ever met. And I am an Albanian living in Canada lol.

that’s what I thought. I’m a mixed race kid and my mum is southeast asian too but the dynamic is different. my mum only cooks cambodian, thai or chinese food 😂 my dad gets sick of it sometimes bc that’s all he gets and he didn’t grow up on it but he allows her to do southeast asian stuff without question. my mum speaks english to him and sometimes khmer (cambodian) to me. must admit, I’ve lost the ability to speak it but I can at least understand a lot.
but this in general just seems very odd... apparently one kid is actually hers? but when will they learn her language? they are missing out on learning about their own heritage. I bet she will face repercussions and seriously miss her own family. this man gives me the impression that he doesn’t ever go back to the Philippines for a holiday or something at least too.
and just a little extra fact I should let you know, korean and chinese men these days are known to marry girls from SEA because they are “easier”. but dw, they’ll find out the truth one day once their feistiness comes into action. 💀

for all the comments about him not supporting her,if you guys watch the other parts you'll see how loving and supportive the whole family is of her. In the last part there's even mention of them inviting her mom to come and live with them so she can live happily, there's so many moments of the whole family being supportive of her and I think you should watch the other parts before judging them. even in this part you can see them all be loving and caring and you can see it in the husbans face how much he truly loves and cares for her like the smile on his face while watching the clips says it all
The all interact like a true family regradless of different race.

Telling other people being delusional about her whole situation without even knowinv the woman personally. I mean, who are you? what you're seeing is just a glimpse of her life in Korea and not her life in whole. It's a TV program and not everyone is comfortable being infront of the camera. You don't have any idea about the values and culture that woman has yet here you are shoving your beliefs on others.

my mom's friend who has a korean husband and lives in korea was treated poorly by her in-laws. They treated her as if she doesn't know how to use appliances and really thought poorly of her. Until she became an English teacher in korea. Her in-laws and husband didn't want her to have a job and wants her to just stay at home because she's a 'woman'. They didn't want her to earn her own money but she did anyways. And she repeatedly made them see that she's not someone they can push around.. I'm so happy for her. I hope this filipina will get what she deserves and she won't be taken for granted.. ❤️

Guys, she's typical korean or can we say asian house wife. Generally this is what happen to asian women when they get married. They become more of a maid than a wife in the family. Our patriarchy culture is still that strong. We still fail to treat women as an equal partner that run the family. They still the one that must do the house chores and adapt regardless of their cultural background.
