Hi Arne and Carlos, I have to say thank you to Arne for your patience to demonstrate Norwegian knitting! By watching your tutorial I knew your way would be easier than continental. It was challenging at first but now I can do it!!! Its nice at 64 to look forward to more years of knitting with hands more relaxed, no sore fingers. Merry Christmas, thanks again for the best gift.👍♥️

Don't worry, I'm sure your balls will continue to be popular for years to come. :-)) Seems to me it's about time the Norwegian government gave Arne & Carlos the title of Living National Treasures, as Japan does for some of its skilled artisans. Certainly you'll always be treasures to your fans!

The lovely folks at Prym were kind enough to direct me to the Mary Maxim website to order their needles. No stores in North Carolina carry Prym. And now I am knitting my first project with them, a Christmas Pig Ornament. I am using the 4US double points and it is heavenly! I especially love the bulb points. That feature makes it much easier pick up the stitch below and increase. It is like I have rediscovered the love of knitting anew since I found your website and you tube channel plus these needles. Thank you both Arne and Carlos!

Watched your 4th advent podcast while cooking the 3rd advent vegetarian dishes! My house smells wonderful. The finished dishes are now in freezer bags.
This podcast was like sitting with you in person. Balls (Christmas ones, Arne), one breakfast B&B, the half naked City of LA, all the yarn shops and flea (Vintage to Carlos) markets, the unexpected long trip with Toronto Knitters Guild, poisonous snake whisperer Arne, sick with a cold Arne (hope the hot drink Carlos will make) helps you recover quicker and so much more!
Thank you and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I absolutely adore waiting for Sunday evening to watch a new video of yours. I would not change a single thing. This year I have learned a lot more about the knitting world and I am looking forward to start new, more challenging, projects. You look so beautiful and perfect. With family and friends sometimes now I say "my life dream is Arne and Carlos life..." because you are so creative and surrounded by these white and wonderful landscapes in winter. With that being said I can imaging how much work it should be so I am very grateful for youtube because without maybe I would have not know you. Glædelig jul og lykkebringende nyt år!! I really like the waste yarn idea. I once made a blanket out of waste yarn scraps, there were thousands of knots on the reverse side and I lined it with fleece! Its a work of art really, a mass collaboration between designers of yarn and me the fiber artist. I had all these smallish scraps and the colours were so beautiful it reminded me of the sea and sand, shells, sky like a Pointallism type impression painting.

I have a circular Prym needle that I love. It's bought in Denmark, and I haven't been able to find it here in Spain. It has balls, where the csble meet the needle. It's brilliant!
Another Prym product I can't recommend enough is their wool needles, instead of an eye, it has a loop. It makes weaving in ends so fast and easy! You weave in the needle plonk in the yarn, and pull. Superb!

I love my Prym circular needles which I used for a pair of worsted lambing mittens. I had purchased them specifically because I wanted to knit on a plane and I figured they would not be a problem with their little bulbous tips. I wasn't sure how they would be to knit with and I actually loved knitting with them! I will definitely add more sizes in the future. Thank you for sharing your trip to North America - we were lucky to see you in St. Thomas, both for the Norwegian class and your lecture on the ice rain day. wishing you both a wonderful 2020!

I just now viewed your video. How wonderful you came to New Mexico. I live near Albuquerque on an Indian Reservation. Im an avid knitter crocheter. Anyway, I love prym needles. Hobby lobby (local store) had them in 2019 and I bought as many as I could. I love that they have the rounded tip. I love DPNs. best. I started knitting in the late 1980s...but sadly, no knitter in my family...so I taught myself to knit after watching a friend of a friend knit socks in Pennsylvania when I lived on the east coast. She emigrated to the U.S. from Germany. So I thought, dang...I need to learn how to do that! and so ....I love it and wish more people in my Native American community would also do the same...but very few of us. Like looking for moose moose! rarely seen. Thanks for all the information and I love your videos. If ever I get into podcasting....I'd like to interview ya'll.:) but that may be like the rarely seen moose. Have a good year this year!!!

What an enjoyable 90 minutes. Gosh what an incredible tour but you had to have been exhausted by the end. I'm not a knitter (I crochet)but you have so many artsy crafts for everyone. I made your red cabbage dish for Xmas, excellent. Thx Happy new Year

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both! You've been such a lovely companion to my knitting journey: thank you! I can say now I can knit Norwegian way and with DPNs!!! I'm very proud because I taught myself how to knit, solely by watching RUclips videos: from the English style, to Portuguese and, more recently, the Norwegian. Arne's tutorials have taught me the Norwegian way :) (I even purl!). This is my preferred way. Carlos' journalistic take have taught me so much about Scandinavian culture. I've became really appreciative of this culture, a big fan, I'd say. I think the different roles you both take on have worked really well; but I look forward to the innovations you're planning for next year :)
I watched the end-of-year podcast in parts: a little bit per day. Just finished (hence the belated Merry Christmas wishes). I've never used Prysm, but would love to try! This time, I wouldn't promise to re-gift it to my mother-in-law :) Since I'm still so new to knitting and still finding the equipment that works best for me, I'd keep them :)

Such a nice video session with you tonight, as I knit away 🧶😍 I purchased my first set of Prym needles last month. They are circular 4.5 mm and I am really enjoying them for my hat project. I am learning German short rows for the first time and the Prym’s give me good control. I also like them because they look like little drumsticks 😊 which reminds me of my dad who is a percussionist 🥁Please keep your wonderful videos coming!

Was very nice hearing all about your wonderful travel adventures. I also love seafood, my favourite food. Great photo's guys. Did Freya enjoy her power walk, I'm sure she did. Arne & Carlos & Freya, wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year!

Thank you for another lovely podcast! It's so fun to hear about all your adventures. I received the 55 Christmas Balls to Knit book for my birthday. I am totally hooked on knitting these balls!
Also to comment on the forum needles, I have used no the the double pointed needles (size 3), and the circular size 6. I like the double pointed best because they really hold the yarn well and the white needles make it easier to see the stiches. Happy Christmas!

I would never have guessed when you did videos, but I do know I enjoy every one! Feel well again fast Arne! I hope you both get to enjoy some great skiing!
It sounds like a great year ahead!
Prym needles, I confess I can’t say which I prefer, as I have never had the chance to try them them out!
Love the snow shoes! They look like the ones I used to wear! All leather and wood. Snowshoeing is great fun!
    Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

I haven't tried those needles yet, but would love to. I prefer circulars for most of my knitting because they are easier on my hands. I too love hearing Freya in the background. It makes me feel like I'm right there with you. I loved taking the class on colorwork fingerless mitts at Loop in Philadelphia several years ago. You two are so much fun!

Get well soon, Arne. I know you can’t miss a speedy recovery with all of Carlos’ good care.
And no doubt my favorite Prym needle was the very first one that I was introduced to on my first evening of knitting a certain special project on the Finnmarken in March 2019. I was immediately given over to the sheer delight of the experience of knitting with it. My passion for these needles and my inventory has grown ever since. DPNs, circulars, and crochet hooks of each and every size. Even the “Yoga” needles. I adore them. And I am so glad that they have become more available in the US since your tour.
Merry Christmas to you both and much continued success in 2020. Peace ✌️.

My favorite needles would be 1.25mm dpns for knitting socks. Thank you for sharing the details of your 2019 international adventures. I really enjoyed hearing the stories and seeing the photos of all the amazing places you visited. I want to give more than one thumbs up for this video, but RUclips won't let me! 👍👍👍
