Back to the Future is a 1985 American science-fiction adventure comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox as teenager Marty McFly, who is sent back in time to 1955, where he meets his future parents in high school and accidentally becomes his mother's romantic interest. Christopher Lloyd portrays the eccentric scientist Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown, Marty's friend who helps him repair the damage to history by helping Marty cause his parents to fall in love. Marty and Doc must also find a way to return Marty to 1985.
Back to the Future was released on July 3, 1985, grossing over $381 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of 1985. It won the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, the Saturn Award for Best Science Fiction Film, and the Academy Award for Best Sound Effects Editing, as well as receiving three additional Academy Award nominations, five BAFTA nominations, and four Golden Globe nominations, including Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy). Ronald Reagan even quoted the film in his 1986 State of the Union Address. In 2007, the Library of Congress selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry, and in June 2008 the American Film Institute's special AFI's 10 Top 10 designated the film as the 10th-best film in the science fiction genre. The film marked the beginning of a franchise, with two sequels, Back to the Future Part II (1989) and Back to the Future Part III (1990), as well as an animated series, theme park ride, several video games and a forthcoming musical.

The original Jennifer was probably the best looking girl I ever seen on tv - perferct girlfriend and future wife. My advice seriously is to never go through cosmetic surgery - keep it natural and grow old gracefully.

I also like the five movies of the original "Planet Of The Apes".
This is one of my all-time favorite movies, a true classic and a superb cast.
This is actually horrifying to watch. This movie-trilogy felt so timeless, but it hits you just how fast we actually age and eventually perish. Our lives are like the one breath of fresh air that the swimmer out in the open sea manages to take when he breaks through the surface, before he is pulled down again and disappears for good.

It’s probably one of the few times it worked in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Heck, look at Grease. They don’t even try to make the actors look like teenagers.
Today, Thomas Wilson can play as young biff and griff without makeup or prosthetics.
The way some of these actors aged, all I can say is . . . Great Scott!

Except for Back to the Future 3 wasn't needed at all . That movie was the drip too much .
They could use another era than the Western one imo . It was a cliché with many clichés and stereotypes in that movie and the ending the Train travelling machine was meh bleh....

i love this movie , i still got this movie from back to the future , b2tf part ii and b2tf part iii . The director of the film in 1985 has an idea that is beyond our thinking box, he can think of and create a futuristic world in the future. Wow now we on a future. but no flying DeLoreon 😭😂

I was 16 or 17 when I first saw the BTTF part 1. Have to go to a film store just to rent a copy in Betamax/VHS. Now, I have my own copy in DVD, mp4 in my PC/SSID/USB, and now, I can watch it all over again in Netflix.🤣😂
My idea for a Backtothefuture sequel trilogy is as follows: It is fourty years since the events in the three movies.
DocBrown's house have been abadonned for
fourty years and is in a shabby state.Three youths who live nearby goes there to clean up the place and make it ready for a sale.
While they are cleaning the house they find the scematics for the delorean and how the fluxcapasator makes timetravels possible.
They also find a video which shows one of the youths mother(possible Jennifer Parker)and she looks totally different than she looks today.
the youths also sees DocBrown holding a newspaper where Biff has the Grey's sport allmanac in his pocket from 1955.
They decide to build a new Delorean from DocBrown's scematics.
When they are finnished they decide to bring the Grey's sport allmanac(which is in common sale in 2022) with them.
They goes back to 1955 and knows allready that MartyMcFly detained JenniferParkers father when he took the caseboard apart in the first movie to use it as
a regular board.The youths prevent this from happening by giving MartyMcFly another board to stand on while flying away from Biff.
They also gives their fathers the Grey's sport allmanac.
When they comes home they all live in wealth and luxury
and JenniferParker looks like she looked in the first movie(played by ClaudiaWells or a lookalike)and it gives a happy ending to the first movie xD
In the second movie three neighbours to the first movies aganoists who are envious discover videos that show everything was different just a few days
ago.They start stalking the three youths and finds out about the Delorean timemachine.They also finds out about the Grey's sport allmanac.They decide
to steal both the delorean and bring with them the Grey's sport allmanac.In 1955 they gives the Grey's sport allmanac to their grandparents.They then
goes home to a life in wealth and luxury.
In the third and last movie,our three antagonists suddenly wakes up and see everything has changed around them.They see the three
neighbour youth now living in wealth and luxury and suspect that they has stolen the delorean and gone back to 1955.
They decide to go back themselves and change the events that the three neighbours have caused.
But there they meet a young DocBrown that warns them about making any more changes.He tells them he was contacted by his future
selves and that he told him to warn eventual other timetravellers.

I was three when it came out. I remember watching when I was about 5 or so (we moved a lot so I had good markers of time by addresses, easier to remember further back), everyone was a grown up to me. I really couldn't tell the difference between teenagers and adults. Basically, anyone around twelve and up was an adult.
