The problem to me is making the Vulcans antagonists. And Archer seems to blame the Vulcans. And he's kind of bitter and it makes him look weak, immature and later naive. I think this could be an issue in the first couple of seasons.
The problem was addressed well in my opinion by the 4th season Vulcan arc episodes "The Forge", "Awakening" and "Kir'Shara". The early seasons Vulcans were not the enlightened ones and then they became the Vulcans we know and love by TOS

i agree. the vulcans being a little underhanded and deceptive was unneeded but nottoo bad, the mind meld lore change bothered me the most.

Totally accurate. The Vulcans are changed a bit by Enterprise
I have thoughts on this show....never have gotten to talk to someone in depth about this show
