Hey man, I have put the positive motor wire and signal wire, for the box mag onto the middle prong of the micro switch, using a crimp connector instead of soldering. Im a newbie when it comes to electronics, would this sort of thing suffice? It seems pretty solidly connected. Thanks dude, very helpful video!
This is actually something I am working on currently. Short answer, I believe so but I am unsure which mosfet is best. I will likely release a video on the finished M249 build when it is complete.
At the time is see your video i want to ask, how could you have that "grey/brown" color on main body of the 249? the A&Ks 249 i know are full black, if it's painted, you known with which brand and color did was painted??
Mine is in the way. I want to have the option of using a front wired battery under the barrel or a battery in the box mag. Obviously I’d disconnect one battery before using the other. How would you wire the front connector in? Wire it in parallel?
My understanding of electrical work is limited, but it could be possible with significant modification. The way this is designed, all the leads terminate in the box mag, which run through a controlling board of some sort. The advantages of this design are more than one, but by far the greatest benefit it offers comes from the battery being “tied” to the box mag. You have a fresh battery with every magazine swap which is nearing the limit of the batteries capacity anyway. I actually run parallel batteries in the box mag to get more amperage and discharge capacity
@@adrenalineactual4261 was supposed to get the wiring in the box mag, but got something else. If I had a diagram I could wire it, but can’t figure it out. HELP!
Can you use the box mag and have it feed manually without wiring it to the trigger? Wanted a replacement for the G&P but didn't wanna have to take the whole GB apart. I'm okay with just manually feeding it if possible I just can't see a button to wind the mag
Im sure if you have enough know how you could make something that activates the signal wire separately. I do know that bullgear has this exact mag for the G&P.
will the G&P version of the box mag work in my G&P M249 that has a Gate Titan installed in it? Thinking of sending it to evike for them to install and figure out
Sorry for the late reply. It is my understanding that it would work yes. There is some wiring involved, but the product comes with a diagram for different wiring scenarios.
Do you know if there is a way to wiring it in if your 249 is hpa? I have an A&K 249 but i have a wolverine inferno in it. Ive been looking into these mags for a while but the wiring confused me especially with how the HPA wire harness is
The feeding issue is that the gear box is not placed right. If You put it back in you need to push it to the front and then tighten the screws. Issue solved 😇
I have used the inserts and they worked well. Just ordered a dozen or so of these new full box mags and having feeding issues like crazy. I have HPA connected with dual trigger for auto loading, and everything aligned, but still getting loading issues on anything heavier than .20s. Still cant figure it out
The battery is connected in the bottom of the magazine. The gun comes with regular size Deans connectors. I have switched them to XT60 for better power delivery.

Idk what you're talking about not being able to fit a big lipo in the handguard. I have a 2000 mah 11.1 lipo in my handguard. Unless it's the featherweight, there's tons of space in the handguard for a lipo 😂😂😂
Great video! Does anyone use the magazine and a m249 with gate titan? Would be awesome if someone has some information how to wire with the mosfet installed!?
@@jhqtech right I know, I have a G&P m249 which has the V2, should have been more specific. I installed a gate titan into it. I sent it to Evike to have the Bullgear mag installed. The tech who could barely speak or understand English told me that it will not work with the Gate Titan, but he wasn’t even aware of the fact that they carried the product in the first place, so I don’t know. Ive had bad experiences with this tech before on other guns so I don’t really take his word for it

Have you tried to or seen this installed with HPA? I’ve seen the web site schematics and looks hard to follow and I’m an electrician. 🤷🏻♂️
Could you help me find that optic? Looking for one like that as of now 😅

My 249 isn't wired like the diagrams. Very confused.
So think this could work with a feather weight m249?
