Talked to my friend right now, a voltage regulator is what he used to lower down the 11.1v to 3v, 3v wasnt enough so he upped the voltage till he found the perfect balance between feeding and firing, he also said it was better to wire the drum to the motor instead of the trigger cause he didnt want to put more strees on the trigger unit, the motor is stronger and can handle way more intensity, or something like that. I hope my crappy explanations give you some ideas to perfect your build ^^
I took wires from the motor to a miniture 9v relay so the trigger switches the relay... the box mag motor which is only 3v is then switched on via the relay... no voltage issues then with the gun battery frying the box mag motor... works perfectly
Brilliant Idea but all you need to do is break the negative at that battery on the mag to the switch so it runs off original battery 👍 But Im on here trying to fix the same problem with my mag but taught I could sort the speaker but your way through the trigger is much better but ill still use mags battery and wire it like you did through the switch 😉
Thank you for the work you put into the videos. Going to wire my M249 to the motor over the winter. So was there a reason you did not run the wires inside the tube where the microphone wires are run?
I got a 12v airsoft motor (still 130 form factor) and put that in my box mag. then I ran the cables into the motor side of my mosfet so when the trigger is pulled and the motor activates it also activates the box mag, Seems to work rather well when testing but time will tell if it running at 11.1v is good for fire rate or if ill need to turn down the voltage with a regulator. so it doesnt try and over feed on extended use.
A friend of mine wired the box motor to the gun motor instead of to the trigger, dont know why he did it like that (my choice was your way), but it works. He told me that there were some ways to "convert" the voltage from a battery to the "thing" you wanna run, lowering or highing the V to match the feeding speed with the firing speed, ive seen it done many times on electric scooters with some type of board with some tiny adjusting screws.. sorry but i have 0 idea about electrics, but i had good ideas XD.
I suppose it doesn't matter where along the circuit you attach the mag positive wire as long as it is after the trigger contacts. I also need to learn the way of restricting the power to the mag to protect the smaller motor. 😎
Some will auto wind and stop when they feel the tension of the BBs build up under winding then the release of the tension as the AEG fires the BBs triggers the mag to wind again. Some will be sound activated and wind when they detect the noise of the AEG firing. If it is sound operated you may need to fire a few shots for the mag to prime before BBs are shot down range. 😎
I’m pretty new to airsoft and this seems to be one of the guns I’ve acquired. now I watched your previous video and will be getting the bullgear hop unit and you said the maple leaf macron is what you used. so what degree did you get? they have them from 50 to 80 and I really don’t even know what that means or which I should get.
I normally use the 60 yellow or 70 blue. Haven't really noticed a difference in performance between them. You just need to make sure you install them along with an omega nub and that the barrel window is large enough to accommodate the hop patch inside the rubber so that even pressure can be applied. 😎
Hi, today I tried this, soldering like you, but when I connect the wire from box to the gun and after connect the battery, the box start work automatically without pull the trigger… I don’t know if I soldering some wire wrong 🤔🤦🏻♂️😅
@@xXxJoHnNyBaDbOyxXx make sure you have the trigger box wired on the correct tabs as one of the tabs is for constant live and one is for triggered live. Maybe you have got the box mag wired to constant live. 😎
@@adzzzysarmoury no, its soldered on the same tab of the trigger, like you do… From the tab to the dean and the negative like you do, on return from dean battery, soldered on the joint to the dean for box
@@adzzzysarmoury I checked when I plug the battery l, I have energy on the dean (to the box) and I think its not supose, only have energy when pull the trigger. Right?
@@xXxJoHnNyBaDbOyxXx try it on the other tab that the wires are wired to. As one of those tab is always live as it is direct to the battery. You need it linked on the wire that goes from the trigger to the motor as this is only live when the trigger is pulled.
you can get small voltage regulator chips that you adjust with a screwdriver to avoid burning out the motor

@@adzzzysarmoury solve this using a relay 👍
How does it work now? at the moment the video is 11 month old and I would love to know how does it stand. Did it brake?
To my knowledge it is still working fine and it has been to many game days. I have not heard otherwise from the owner. 😎
I have a little video to demonstrate if you can get in touch. And could send details of the relay... which costs about a quid!
Nice, how can I contact you? You are welcome to send me a message via my Facebook page.
Is the motor in mag still holding? I'm trying to something like this myself, but with 11.1 and voltage regulator.
@@JotowyKanal yes it's still going. Also there have been others done and they are also working fine. No burnt out motors yet.
@@adzzzysarmoury so it seems like 7.4V is totally safe. :D Great, thanks mate. :)
any updates on how long it lasted?
It's still going strong! 😎👍
nice ! thanks! is this still with the 7.4 ?
Can you explain to me how box mags with auto wind work? I don’t understand and I’m trying to figure out how to use mine.
Some will auto wind and stop when they feel the tension of the BBs build up under winding then the release of the tension as the AEG fires the BBs triggers the mag to wind again.
