Years ago I had the worst paper bead making addiction that you can imagine! Lol. You're making me feel like I'm going to fall of the wagon abd start making them again! Lol. Yours turned out lovely 😊💚
Your instructions are wonderful. I've been thru TONS of videos to get great instructions on how to actual plan out the triangles b4 cutting! Thx much👍🏽
The beads you made are so beautiful, the colors are so rich and full of energy. I think Peter Pan had something to do with it and Tinkerbell dusted them with her magical fairy dust! Great video. Thanks!
You have a very easy manner of teaching. I got a lot out of this as I have never tried bead rolling before. Definitely inspired now to give it a try. 😍
Have made lots of paper beads in the past but have forgotten how to measure for them. Your tutoria is very helpful. LOL, I am rubbish with the metric system, but not so good with the measuring system here in the states either. Anyway, your video helpful to me to remember measuring to make paper beads from scratch.
What a Lovely Art Product you’ve Cre8ed my dear, Stunning! ⭐️🤍⭐️ Just an FYI i’ve used Clear nail polish with sparkles in it & then the brush is already there no washing of a brush etc…Have a great day & greetings from Oregon USA. ✨🌎✨
Nail polish works great short term but depending on the quality is can crack or turn yellow over time. Thanks for watching and leaving such a lovely comment xxxxxc
@@SqueakerChimp Good point, I was a nail artist for 17 years & I realized if exposed to sun light ongoing this can happen too ☀️ But I noticed that the residue on the side of the clear you were using had yellowed as well.
But the brush of nail polish is narrow (generally small) and a bit stiff, so it will be more laborious. Not to mention that even the cheapest nail polish with sparkles will come more expensive.
You are a crafter to my heart! Good tutorial, and so important always thinking about the environment and about not wasting materials! Thanks so much for that!
I viewed several videos about making paper beads. Yours is the best one for me. I too had to cut the whole page before moving on to the next step! I am also about using a scissors.
I learned so much watching this tutorial. You are indeed a gifted teacher about the paper beads art. I am teaching some neighborhood girls and they really enjoyed the process. The 10 year old took off using a skewer and what a pleasure it is to watch her little fingers roll the paper. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge ❤️👍🏼🥰
Very beautiful! I came more to see how people glaze their beads as that's where I'm struggling with, and I really like the idea of adding glitter to the glaze! I think I'll try that!
They look fabulous. I just realised your the lady who I purchased my paper rollers off on Etsy yesterday. I cannot wait for them to arrive. I clicked on your facebook page but sadly its not there anymore. loving your channel. x❤
I love making the paper beads. I make cardboard handbags from repurposed cardboard and I make the beads for handles for the bags. I love doing this and I think it's so relaxing. Liked shared and subscribed xx Jean from Scotland
This video helped so much just to be able to actually understand how to cut properly. The way you teach is very easy to follow. I know I’ve said this but I’m so glad I found you. Thank you! I was a little confused when you were on the last layer and you would pick one of the beads laying down and brush it a few times then set it back down. Wasn’t sure why you did that? Great video!
I have no idea either 🤣 I’d have to watch it back. I was probably just cleaning some glaze of my brush. I hate to waste anything. So glad you found it useful and thank you for your kind words. X
These are so lovely. Just wondered why you don't use a core like some people do? I can't get cores right anyway so i prefer your method. Also, i wonder if instead of oasis i could used a polystyrène block?
I just use oasis because my mum had some. You can use anything. If you mean using a plastic straw in the middle of the bead and rolling around that, I don't do that for two reasons. 1 the home is too big and 2, you can not get plastic straws in the UK now. They are not eco friendly. Using as your bead walls are thick enough you will be fine.
@@SqueakerChimp by core i mean a roll of plain paper the same width as your bead paper. I don't really know why they do it, maybe to make the bead stronger?
I wish I had a "bead roller". I use coffee stir sticks or skewers. Hard to start. I never considered rolling 2 layers of paper. That will be great for pretty paper that is thin.
I lost track, because it almost looked like there were some skipped sections, of how many layers of glaze you used. Do you remember how many layers of glaze you did on these? Thank you. I'm a new subbie. Incidentally, the name of your channel cracks me up. I have a cat that should be named Squeaker Chimp because she squeaks rather than meows, and rapid squeaks sound like a chimpanzee.
I probably did about two or three, that’s my usual amount. One thin coat then two thicker ones. Thanks for watching. My cat also makes weird noises. 😂🤣
I think it would be difficult to completely waterproof a paperbead, a tiny crack and water would get in. You could certainly wear them out in the rain no problem but I would wear them in the shower or bath.

My first try was messed up. Glue got stuck on the skewer while drying. I know how to do it now. Thanks to u. U are wonderful. Going to try again👍
Less glue! Only on the end bit. You need surprisingly little glue to hold it. Keep trying xxx

Beautiful thank you.
I very much enjoyed your tutorial. Question; how much time do you recommend allowing the beads to dry from glazing?
Hi, it will depend on the glaze you use. But I would say 24hr should be fine
Hola!! Cuánto demora en secar el barniz que le pusiste y con que limpias el pincel ?? Gracias
Hola, not long, about 45 mins to an hour between coats then leave for 24 hrs to dry fully. Wash the brush either water and soap. Very easy
@@SqueakerChimp muchas gracias por responder 🙏
What do you do with the beads? Make jewelry? They are very pretty!
You can use them for all sorts of things
How u r glazing the beads. Which goazing material you are using
I hand paint my glaze on and often use Vallejo Acrylic Gloss
How do you make it look so easy- so professional :0
How do you keep the glaze from drying and sticking to the picks that you let them dry on?
You glaze right up to it. Ideally the stick would not stick out one end, then you turn it over and do the other end
I am a dipper myself but i started useing end caps on tips of my beads can you make a video on small and large round beads? those are my favorite
vexi vex I have all sorts of bead caps in my shop - Squeakerchimp.com. I have a tutorial on European beads if that helps. Xxx
I love your videos :)
