Just a tip when screwing anything into anything stainless. Always run a tap down the threads and then use anti seize on the threads. Garmins will share everything from front to rear with a cheep phone cable thinking they call them cat5 or 6 cables from Walmart. Great work on the installs.

Crazy to hear that about Bass Cat!? I rarely ever hear bad about the company. I can remember back in the old bass boat forum days, the owner himself would post almost daily with detailed answers to any Bass Cat question, regardless of the boats age. That guy knew every screw size, tube diameter, paint color, every wire on those boats. He took a TON of his time to help everyone.

New sub here and I have been bingeing all your vids over the last few days. Your production quality is great and your pure honesty of what you know and what you dont is incredibly refreshing.
One thing that may be missing from simple editing is the use of anti seize, pure silicone grease, and a high quality corrosion inhibitor like CRC Marine corrosion inhibitor. Even if using high quality stainless steel hardware, you will still experience galling and galvanic corrosion in a marine environment that will make things wear faster, or be very difficult to remove as required.
Anti seize is your primary marine environment go to. It is made of graphite along with other fine metal powders in a petroleum grease base. The fine metal powders resist galvanic corrosion by sacrificing itself far easier than the solid metal it is protecting. The graphite is rust's dream partner, it conducts a bit of free ions and readily becomes part of any rust that forms, but the graphite is weak and easily fractures in the same rust matrix later on when you trying to take things apart. The grease base helps slow water intrusion.
The problem with Anti seize is you just open the container and 3 seconds later you will look like a Blue Man Group reject. its gets everywhere and hard to remove. It is also petroleum oil based so it shouldn't be used with plastics.
Anything visible, or plastic that anti seize may contaminate, use pure silicone grease. It resists electric currents reducing galvanic corrosion, water resistant, and safe for plastics or rubber. A dab of silicone grease on connectors will stop water intrusion and make them come apart easier. Use on terminals and wires to help seal out the marine environment and prevent stray voltage or signal loss.
Finally CRC marine corrosion inhibitor is an easy spray on anything metal protectant that forms a soft waxy but easy to remove coating. Use it on anything electrical exposed to water, any metal, battery terminals, you name it. Engine coils and trailer connectors, the trailer frame, anything. It dries to an amber color and is easy to remove with mineral spirits, brake clean, etc.

You have to remember how many people call and ask for free stuff or breaks on things, regardless of how many views they get on RUclips!! Not trying to be mean or rude, just wanted to say that!! I remember Basscat helped you with tons of information and knowledge in your earlier videos!!
