Appreciate this video. I hope these dont stick up that far on an A70. These things are huge! I already disliked how tall the stock shifter is. Both look to be about 3-5" too long for my taste. Maybe just above armrest height would be nice imo. DM looks to be relatively easy to cut down. Cubespeed not so much.
Awesome comparison. I'm looking to get a cube shifter for my W58 swap in my sc300. I'm thinking I'll need the extended shifter because I don't have the factory tripod shifter.
@@zac2384 honestly that rubber boot that comes with the dm shifter is functional. Serves the purpose well and it’s just more of a cosmetic thing that really doesn’t matter as you’ll never see it under the center console with the factory bezels covering it anyway! You won’t regret that shifter. Hands down well worth the money
You mentioned that you changed out the trans tunnel, did you use one from a mk4 supra? I'm piecing together my 5sp swap for my '93 SC300 and am also using a mk3 r154. Thank you for posting your video.
Michael Moses yes, from the mk4 Supra. My chassis was already manual, but the shifter still needed to be extended back. It was extended 4.75 inches, which was way too long, but after doing more research, the trans tunnel swap was the best solution. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks for watching
I think you should have measured the throws from the top of the shifter where your hand is so you can see where it moves from the uppermost point, from the point down there it’s closer to the fulcrum so it wouldn’t move as much
I have an sc300 but the climate control and radio don’t work and Ik that they tend to go out what do you have for the climate control maybe you could do a video on that or if you could send me a link that would be great
Spencer Kenney this is one of those situations where you have to trouble shoot, it could be a simple as a fuse blown or a connector coming off, bad ground, etc... what blew my fuse, a coin was in the cigarette lighter.
@@Edward3jr yeah I’m getting that response a lot but I took them out and put new ones in even though they weren’t actually blown and it still didn’t work :/
@@wannabecarguy yeah but for $45 bucks, I’m curious to see how it compares. Let’s say worse case it’s bad, how bad is it? Please Keep us posted with results!
Very good explanation of short shifters sir... I like the drift motion better, that clicking of the cube could get annoying.
the sound of very mechanical shifts is a preferable for me personally
Such a great video sir, extremely professional, I loved it. You got a sub from me.
Thank you!

Definitely gonna put the DM one on my ar5 since it's a swap I'm glad it comes with the rubber shifter boot
Excellent option! That rubber shifter boot 🤮 😂😂😂
@@Edward3jr I have a real oem leather boot but not the rubber part that goes under it

Thanks for watching! anytime!
Do the 1993 sc’s come with a tripod or a direct mount from the factory? I can’t find any information on it
Direct mount
Great video! Needed to see this
SKYZ GARAGE thank you!

Ethan Al good suggestion!
are these compatible with the w58?
Yes
Should take the car around the block (test drive) with each shifter
Stix I can still do that

Spencer Kenney this sounds like a fuse problem. Does your cigarette lighter work too?
@@Edward3jr no but I swapped the fuses for both and it did nothing
@@Edward3jr also I really like the look of the digital climate control if that’s what that is. Is it a tire pressure regulator

I got the 45 dollar ebay version. Looks like the cube.

It’s running really nice
