I've got a 1998 NA supra and I use your videos as a basis to see how mine would sound with different setups haha. Keen to see if the exhaust shows any gains on the dyno
the sound is great bro! crisp and freer revving... myself, I like that sound but would want the overall volume a bit lower with the same note... as u said, dont wanna be a cop magnet!
Many remove the resonators which is a bug NO NO as it ads rasp amd is not fitting for a luxury GT. Quality mufflers will lower the volume while retaining the exhaust note. I went through 3 plus the factory set ups before I found the exact sound and volume I wanted for my M3. It was worth it so do not settle and drive around with an exhaust note your not 100% happy with. Quack airy parts are a big part but sometimes a cheaper option turns out to be a bug winner. My lowering springs were a perfect example. Absolutely perfect drop and ride quality and I paid
Yo Edward. Any advice on turbo’ing my SC300. It’s a 99. Automatic. Just did the gte head gasket, timing belt kit, cam seals, valve cover gasket. Been told to order arp studs, fuel pump and injectors, and ordering a cxracing turbo kit
Angelo cx racing is a good turbo kit to start with, you’ll also want to look into getting a stand alone. I know some guys use the gte ecu, but a full stand alone is the best way to go. Are head studs are cool too. Also, you should Install a gte oil pump while you’re there. You’re going in the right direction!
Edward3jr thanks for the reply. It’s hard to find a full turbo kit install video for the 2jz-ge that shows the breakdown of everything. I was told to look at aem ecu but not sure about what other standalone to go with
Angelo anytime! yeah, there’s not a lot of detail videos out there. AEM is good, I have not used them. I have a haltech in my other car and it’s been good.look up link g4 too. I was thinking about giving them a try. But also make sure you have tuners in your area that can tune your ecu (AEM, Haltech, etc...)6
Went to Meineke to have this installed, now she only cranks won’t start ! We checked all Hoses, and the Bosch O2 sensors perfectly cut and rewired in the old one, made sure all studs and header were tight snug. Crank sounds healthy but no start, we can definitely smell fuel and the distributor has a spark on it.. We even sprayed brake cleaner on the air intake side throttle body and cranked, still no start. We wanna say it’s leaning out, any tips to get us in the right direction?
@@Edward3jr Oh, brother.. Dumbest simple mistake ever. The Distributor timing was off by 180 frickin’ degrees! No spark was ever reaching the cylinder. I had the car towed to my school campus and my teacher helped diagnose and retime the distributor ignition along with a timing gun now she’s alive again, no check engine light.
