You rebuilt it yourself? Had you been inside a trans before this? Thinking about purchasing the MC kit for mine, or just the OE bearing and synchro kit but not sure if I want to attempt that myself.
Hey man thanks for the for the information. I have a question. If I’m getting the trans crossmember and that comes with a mount I believe what’s the point of getting the poly mount?
One reason you might want a poly mount is if you are planning on doing track stuff(helps the car feel tighter) or just want your car to be more responsive with the throttle. Although this does come with a little more noise inside the cabin.(it’s not bad tho)
Hey fam when you did your swap did you have a light Chattering problem when the clutch wasn’t pressed in? Also on the r154 are these gears a bit not by when you first break the trans in?
I think for that trans you have to. The r154 has a flat style shifter extension while that one has a more pronounced housing (it is more rounded and big)
Hi Mate i have just Bought a jzx110 R154 for my IS300, i Have heard about issues with the speed sensor, the box i bought does NOT have one included, is this something i need to buy a kit for (im unsure if the speed sensor from the abs is connected to the auto ecu)? or will i be fine to just use the sensor that is connected to the ABS
If it was a auto you don’t need to worry about it. It will just use the abs automatically. If it was a manual before then you will just need to do the abs to tac conversation. I don’t run a speed sensor on mine ☺️

I just purchased the cross member from the ebay listing you mentioned. do you know which poly one from xsessive will work for his brace? I'm unsure of which series is required. Sorted the Mount out. On to the next hurdle. Do you convince the ecu that the tranny is in Neutral to run manual in an 01? I’ll jump on my.is and have a look at what some of the other conversion lads have done.

I ran ar5 in 240sx until I totalled it and swapped to is300. Now blew up the trans and going r154 marlin crawler. Im so excited

Yes I did. But I also have a light RD flywheel which I hear makes it worse. 😄
I got a w58 for my is300, but I don’t want to cut the tunnel u think a shifter housing extension will work ?

@@JimSimFtw I wanna say that you should use the series 2 mounts. But I would give excessive engineering a call just to confirm :)

No you need a different length
