What kind of self respecting gun shop doesn't have a 40 watt plasma rifle?
😂🎉
A self respecting gun shop from the year 1984. Duh.
It's just what you see pal..
One that wants to close early today?
there is a 15 day waiting period on plasma rifles.

Best performance by Schwarzenegger and Best direction by JAMES CAMERON
Absolutely
One of the manliest movies ever
pretty naive too especially when terminator runs from police instead kills this two easilly
"Hey man, you got a serious attitude problem"
Said the guy, yelling at his wife on the phone.
Misandry. You assume the worst. Perhaps his wife just cheated on him.
Arnold trained hard for this role. Never blinks while shooting. Not an easy task even w blanks.
That’s not entirely true. He blinked when he killed the first female victim when he fired the pistol with laser sighting.
He also took multiple shotgun blasts to the torso because he is a method actor.
Genuine horror film. The terminator was terrifying and relentless. He was also physically massive unlike anyone else which really helped
The chase made it original. Sure, visual effects 40 years later are more impressive, yet nothing beats the horror of escaping an unstoppable robot.
@@AndreiBYhappyDon't get me wrong, i LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie, but the chase is straight out of a slasher film, what do you mean original? The Terminator is literally a sci-fi/thriller with slasher elements. The T-800 is an unstoppable, near invulnerable killer that stalks Sarah Connor, not unlike Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees. Slashers was very much in style throughout the 80's and into the 90's. Even the early 2000's.
@@placeholdername3206 I mean Cameron's approach was novel.
Yes, I've seen some slashers from the '80s and '90s. Hollywood made a fortune on them. Yet the Terminator was different.
Cameron based T-800 on a cyborg he saw in a nightmare. An unstoppable machine from the future. Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese didn't have access to proper 2029 technology to deal with this imminent threat. I hadn't known Hollywood encourages filmmakers to write a happy end -- it was my first Hollywood movie.
I believed Arnie would execute her. That was the whole advantage of time travel -- a robot will always beat a human soldier. I like the finale -- cornering the protagonist in a cage, in a seemingly hopeless situation. I focused on the futuristic aspects of the movie, and wouldn't mind Sarah dying.
In other words, the Terminator was less about psychopathic obsession, and more about potential risks of technology. Considering recent developments in AI and robotics, makes me wonder.
Arnold, my man.

I miss the 80's. What a great decade to be alive. Yeah I know, I miss being young too.

@@hectorlopez1069 Also the 70's, Watch James Bond movie from 1977, The Spy who loved me. That's a great car there.
My all-time favourite movie.
"Hey man, you got a serious attitude problem" LOLOLOL
He's not a man, he's a machine.
The Terminator was an influential film to the Sci-Fi genre, in influencing other movies in Sci-Fi. James Cameron brings us an astounding work of film that will leave you surprise and the thrill of a lifetime.
Little known fact: Cyberdine used the same targeting software that The Empire used for its storm troopers.
And lovely spring music to end The Terminator tapestry of Arnold...
I know I'm getting old when I realize this film was released in theaters two hours after I was born 😆😆
3:47 He looks better without the eyebrows ! that's how i remember the first T-800 !
Schwarzenegger is the best for The Terminator due to his body
and his strength and his acting
oh my god, why don’t they make such wonderful films today???
I'd like to know at what point the Terminator had the haircut, bought a tub of gel and started spiking its hair.
Great eye you have
Terminator. He cool beans.
His hair got burned off when he jumped though fire.
would he not be able to cut it himself while looking in the mirror.
He has detailed files on mens hair styles @@mth469
He moves in a very robotic way in most scenes but less in others, like when he gets out of the car and puts his hand on the hood for balance and hops up the sidewalk. Great movie, but you start to notice the details after you watch it for 30+ years
I noticed that while watching this video, for a robot that is only meant for killing and infiltrating, he sure has his own personality and walk, he even has a unique stance while firing his last few shots at Reese
@@cameronwyatt1994 true true, its possible some of these things were intentional, although unlikely. It would make sense for them to have their own personality though, seeing how they have to blend in with people but I its hard to imagine AI doing that even in fiction
@@cameronwyatt1994 по сценарию терминаторы и создавались для скрытого проникновения к людям и внешне ничем не должны были отличаться
He was a learning machine. Its vwey possible the T-800 was learning as it went to blend in more by watching people in this timeline, learning certain mannerisms for show.
@@kylebatteson9572 yeah, possibly, but most t-800s as explained I t2, didn't have it's chip flipped to learning mode, but I'm not gonna nit-pick any longer, it's still and always will be a classic, so what if there are minor errors here and there, still holds up today, its all that counta

This is a sentimental journey for me, seeing all these great outdated American dinosaurs.
Наглядное пособие по тому, КАК снимать кино НА ВЕКА. Обе части - "потолок" карьеры Арни и Роберта.
as a kid( it was in 1990) i was terrified at `GET OUT` scene :D love this movie till this day:)
Little did we know the genius hiding in Jim Cameron until much later. Here he simply made a sci-fi slasher movie.
One of the best movies, I actually made a few scenes of this in lego as well

Eyebrowless Arnold is kinda scary
Even though the other terminators in the later movies where more powerful than the T-800 , this original was the scariest one of all

Bad luck this guy has!
Arnold absolutely IS the Terminator. I know others were thought of to play the iconic T-800 but it just wouldnt have been the same with anyone else and probably would have faded into nothing should anyone else have played the role resulting in us not getting the masterpiece that is T2...scary thought. Terrifying when i first saw it WAY back when i was a kid in the 80s.
Still my biggest idol ngl
Best Arnold film. The one that put him on the map.

Still listening to my original mono mix of the film with the proper sound effects. F- the 5.1 mix. Only way I'm buying a new 4k blu of this is if the mono is included and possibly the original color timing too (original version DID NOT have the typical blanket teal color that all movies have now).
I absolutely agree with you.
It was a very bad move for the film distribution companies to do this.
Awareness has got to be raised to the people who are seeing this film for the first time.

I hate how Arnold got out of the station wagon and merrily hops up the kerb before throwing the guy from the phone. That’s not robotic at all. I can’t believe Cameron let that take slide.
True, when everything else was so well done.
I also dislike his odd facial expressions and exaggerated poses during the club shootout scene for the same reason.
