Is it possible to play a note lower than C1 on this plug-in? I'm using in Ableton Live 11 and nothing plays lower than C1. 🤔

Can you explain the functionality of the external input switch instead of feedback setting? Can we actually route in another source?

No, you cannot with the plugin. From the manual: When the INPUT switch is set to FEEDBACK (the default setting) and the EXTERNAL INPUT VOLUME switch is set to ON, you can route the output of the Minimoog back into its mixer using this knob to create a thicker, more overdriven (or heavily distorted) sound.
@@UniversalAudio Thanks for the reply. I understood the functionality of the feedback setting, which you also go through in the video, but when the switch is set to EXTERNAL and not feedback, it doesn't seem to have any function. Is this something that was overlooked or am I missing something here? Appreciate ya.
Think of it as a "feedback mute switch"!!! 😁

This is off bases but I'm trying to figure out how to change the metronome count in luna to be double time. Can you help me with this?
Doubling the tempo works if there's no MIDI in the session. Otherwise, print the click and add a delay to it. You can also try a 8/8 time signature which doubles the click. Be sure to hit the Feedback button inside LUNA.
How do I save my own sounds as preset?
There's a "Save" option in the preset menu.
Do you have plans to allow MIDI mapping for all parameters? This is the main reason holding me back from purchase currently

It's probably the Luna arp plugin or the arp effect within Ableton.
What's the difference between filter envelope and loudness envelopes? (5:42)
I guess the loudness envelopes are your typical ADSR controls and the filter envelope is specific to the filter and can control how fast the filter comes down after a note is played (attack) and so on

Why are you using an arpeggiated sample if the plug in doesnt have an arp module?
The session used for this vid is "Rotation" by Atticus Ross, the arpeggiation is his.
Does anyone else have it zoomed in all the way when you open the plugin? How do I change this?
upper right corner, there are Zoom settings.
Does this work with Logic or only LUNA?
Since they're VST3, AU, and AAX, they'll work in any DAW.
How do I send other audio to the 'external' input?
You do not. We implemented this as a "feedback" loop of sorts for cool effects, but it's all internal.
I still don't get why the virtual instruments in the UAD catalog, alongside the API/Neve summing, are only available in LUNA platform.... I'm a long time loyalty user, with almost all the licenses of the UAD platform plugins, and owner of 3x Octo core cards, but this move of exclusivity for LUNA it's quite annoying. And the fact that Sparks native is only for Mac users (a PC user here), doesn't helps neither to get additionally annoyed. Not happy at all!
All UAD instruments are available to all users. if you own UAD hardware, you can buy them. If you do not, you can subscribe to Spark and use them in ANY DAW.

By the way, what about the API/Neve Summing? they would be available for all major DAWs anytime soon? Also, what about Sparks native for PC? anytime soon? Thank you.
Those pages do not say exclusive to LUNA any longer. But they are mac exclusive until the Fall. Real summing can only happen when you have control of the entire mix environment.

Meaning you need control of the fader taper, pan law, and entire bussing structure like we do in LUNA.

Yes but how did you load it inside Ableton!? at 0:53 this is clearly Ableton he's using it inside. Does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to to load this mini moog into Ableton or Logic as a midi instrument. I just bought this plug in and have it working inside Luna no problem (though can't midi map easily) I wanted to use it as a performance tool and to midi map it within my Ableton sessions. I already own an Apollo please don't tell me I have to buy it twice inside a spark subscription to be able to use it?? That's crazy? C'mon UAD I bought it to be able to use it. Why only make it work with spark subscription? It didn't say it was exclusive to Luna on the product page, and one of the reviews that you featured said it works in Ableton. Misleading.
If you own UAD hardware, you can buy it outright.

Choose a track type: Software instrument / down the bottom of the list ' AU instruments',
it should show there.
I really want to give you my money but I don’t know how I connect my MIDI Keyboard (Keystep 37) to my Apollo Solo to play and record real-time into my DAW (Logic and Garage Band). Please advise. 😊
Connect it to your computer with a USB cable.

Have UA just given up with LUNA? 2 Years later and no hardware inserts, no ARA2 integration, the midi interface is godawful and unusable for intense midi programming, no multi outs and not M1 Native. No significant improvements or additions for many months. A lot of us have invested in the LUNA extensions in anticipation it will become useable platform, but it just isn't. Just be honest with folks and stop taking people's cash for a platform that just isn't delivering and won't deliver. You know that a lot of folks have just stopped with the feedback requests, because until it starts getting the stuff we really want, we don't even open luna. So the Feedback function only works for the people that are satisfied with how it is now. Just be honest with us, have you dumped LUNA? If not, give us a development timescale for the significant stuff that you know we're waiting for.
LUNA remains a key part of our overall plan! We've got lots of stuff in development, but it takes time!!! Rome wasn't built in a day!! LUNA is far ahead of any other DAW at this point in its development. Come along for the ride!
@@UniversalAudio Thank you for responding, unfortunately you've had a long, long time to get LUNA to Native M1, you've been concentrating efforts on new stuff and ignoring the stuff we want in preference to the little stuff that your small feedback users want. I tell you, there's a lot of us who've had enough and are going to port over to RME and abandon LUNA and UAD.

@@chizzulwinduh1941 Uh, use Luna for what it is, man. I use Logic for everything, then export the audio files to Luna for mixing to get the summing, etc.
@@tabitharasaproject “uh”, why would I bother? The summing isn’t really that fantastic and there are alternatives and I have the tape plugins, so no need. Cubase is light years ahead.
@Chizzul Winduh You're right, it feels like they've given up with LUNA, the missing things you mention, all of them, should be in place and working by now. They've had a long time. And just to agree more, I'm also one of those people waiting for the hardware inserts, ARA2, a proper midi programming interface, instrument multi outs and M1 Native. I no longer open up LUNA to ask for these basic features using the feedback button and I know a few other people who feel exactly the same and they've just given up on UAD. Even though I look at the release notes of every release, I no longer bother updating LUNA, because what's the point?
