My old work horse Saab J35 Draken. I used to work on Drakens for 14y before resigning from Finnish Air Force.
Never remembered how shaky the camera work was on this commercial...you almost get dizzy watching it. The track is Phoenix, the driver, as mentioned, was Dean Hall.
I saw a Saab Draken parked at the Indianapolis International Airport for quite a while around the time this video was made. A cool airplane to roll up on canards and all. I thought it was waiting on a needed part to fly. Now I wonder if it was in this commercial!
I think the plane is a saab. Do they have the key on the center console also? Ha! One of 2 cars used had long track suspention on it with front end plates cut down to clear tires.

I remember seeing that jet at Whitman in Oshkosh, WI when I was a teenager in the early 90's.

This car was built as a Chevy changed to cosworth changed to buik for indy then back to cosworth.

No popvalve here either. Only at races. Also notice hole and removable covers. Difrent engines have different locations for valves
