I'm 24 and already have grey hairs which comes from my mothers side. Sometimes I feel pressured into dying my hair, but this video has really helped me embrace my greys and I feel inspired.

It is your life and your body!!! Letting your grey to grow without asking a permission, it means pure confidence in yourself. We don't have to wait for everybody to validate our decisions when we are adults and independent. Good for you!!! I bet you look gorgeous!! My husband loves my grey hair, Im 100% grey and I'm 44. I defend my position against the ones that ask about my hair in a not really nice way. Have a great day!!

My family go grey young. I started coloring my hair young. I now wish I had let my real hair grow in. I now have to grow out years of box dye. I am really battling. My daughter is leaving her hair and it looks lovely.

I am 34 with salt and pepper natualr hair that I am currently growing out using the highlight blend technique while growing out my natural hair and getting rid of my old colour n dont have to get it done regularly. Can definitely still see my silvers more and more as the months pass but I'm loving the freedom. Its tough being a women in a world where there so much stigma around aging n aging naturally. I think its beautiful and I wish I didn't think I had to dye my hair out of fear if judgment. Embracing its the way forward for me.

I went cold turkey over covid. It took over 2 years and didn’t look good for a long time, but since everyone was isolating, it wasn’t that big of a deal. I like it now. My hair is a lot healthier! My sister grew hers out too but hated it so she’s started dyeing it again.

I am 48 and have been dying my hair for 20+ years. Heard about the dye strip method of going grey and have been doing this for about 6 months now. It works by dying a strip of hair along your part and don’t touch the rest. Once your hair grows out, you flip your part to the other side. Through this process, your grey still shows but it looks really great with the colored parts. The top of my head is a nice sliver color but the sides are white. I don’t love putting my hair up because of this but it is still a great method and I wish they was more talk/videos about this method.
Thanks for the video! Let’s keep talking about this.

I'm 62 and I have been doing a lot of research regarding "going grey", at first I wanted to do it drastically by stripping my medium brunette hair and adding silver but that requires as much upkeep as being platinum blonde. My natural grey that is growing out is scattered all over the place on the top of my head. My hair is VERY long. I call it "COVID hair" I haven't had a haircut or any sort of process in nearly 4 years. One great thing I DO have is what I call a "skunk streak" and I saw a pixie cut with a long side part that would enhance it!!! I am done with hair dye and bleach. Thank you so very much from The Big Apple. Blessings...

You are only the second person I've heard say that gray hair is like an empty tube. I had never heard that until recently. I have only used semi-permanent because I have not wanted to use permanent. I did use color oops and got to the silver. That said, it doesn't seem to be ruined. Whew.....!

My hair was dark brown and my roots were white. Been coloring my hair since I was 28 years old and I was 69 when I started transitioning I just went to the salon and had them strip my hair color to blonde. I went twice after the first time it was a reddish color, after the second time, it was a little bit lighter. The last time I went was over a year ago and it seems to be growing out pretty well still a little blonde on the ends, but not that noticeable.

I have been dying my hair for some years now. Initially to lighten it to dark blonde from mid brown. More recently it had been to cover greys which are about half of my hair. The problem I had was that the so called permanent colour washed out. Weirdly not taking me back to my natural colour, but fading my newly coloured dark blonde to a too light blonde. Watching a favourite tv programme, two of the actresses who are my age, late 50s, had been letting greys show in their blonded hair. So I have decided to stop colouring it and let it grow out. It will take time but I am fed up with hair dyes simply not lasting more than a few washes.

Been shaving my head for a couple years and now growing it out (2 months in) and concerned about my natural red hair still showing up amongst the greys and new boring brown coming in? The sun still lightens my red-hair to strawblonde ( mainly on top of head) so not sure if blue or purple shampoos would help without bleaching?? My graying process is temples, forhead...more of a white halo and less grey on the crown. I also have lots of hair....at 64 I'm complaining about not having enough grey hair😂

Would you please tell me why I see red in my hair .
I’m trying to quit coloring my hair and I’m doing a home diy and clarifying shampoo bc I don’t want to go to a Solon where they would use chemicals.
My roots are grey and black but I have red which I hate .
How do I get rid of the red and where did it come from ? Is it from the hair dye ?
I would appreciate your answer and time in answering my question.
Thank you and God bless you !

Hi Catherine! I had the same exact issue when I was growing my silver out, and it was the worst part of this process for me! The fix that I found was called hand painting. Basically, my stylist painted my darker color, which is pretty much black, from where the awful orange-red color was in my hair down to the bottom of my hair. So top part was salt and pepper, and bottom was just the pepper. Lol Her doing this helped me finish my journey. It wasn't a perfect fix, but it helped blend it enough to make me feel much better! I was prepared for my hair to be 2 colors, not 3! Hahaha I only did that one time and it got me to the end. Other than that I did do it all naturally. But without that small fix I'm not sure if I would have made it. Hope this helps. 😊

I've watched a whole bunch of these shows, and all the while I'm doing really nothing but letting it just grow out. The problem I have with all these shows, is that all of you guys that are going gray are beautiful. You're young. But when you get to be in your 70s And you spent a lot of time in the sun you're a wrinkled up old prune and you've lost all that beauty that you had when you were young. So the gray hair makes you look really tired and old. I still want to do it because I am frankly sick of dying my hair, but when you see a girl like you that's beautiful and you've got gray hair well kudos to you.let's see some ugly old bats that are going gray. I mean let's get real.

Omg you made me laugh aloud!! My mom is 80 and completely white and I think she looks way better than when she dyed it!! I’ll post a picture on my community page of her and I for you!! We are all getting older hon, just be kind to yourself and see the beauty and the privilege in aging!! Sure our youthfulness leaves, but we definitely become better people for it in my opinion!!

My husband said he'd be happy with my hair however I like it. I'd love to cut it all off (it's about 3" past my bra strap) but due to my round face and chubby cheeks I'd look horrible with short hair. I'm willing to get a shoulder length cut which would be major for me.

    • @nula654
      @nula654 Год назад +2

@@charlottesmom Mine was about the same length, but I took the plunge and got a bob. Now I'm sad I didn't go all the way and do a pixie. I might do it just to get it over with and grow it out again. It'd be fun to see what color it ends up being. I've had long, long hair for about eight years now, and it's very strange to have this short bob. I'm gonna go for that pixie though, just to say I had it done ;) (Hubby will just have to get used to it for a bit, he's had his way for too many years, hehehe)
