There was something similar in the mobile prequel. After you turned into a necromorph, for a brief hallucination, there would be a face from time to time, transparent, superimposed on the screen. Assuming you'd be aligned just right, this would change your own reflection in the tablet for that of a necromorph. Suggesting that the infection got to the player through the character. Don't know how well it worked though, never had the chance to play it on its intended platform.
I love how atmospheric the game is. The audio really makes this game come to life. I also love the level design. It has storefronts and diversions from the linear path just like a real space station would have.

But it is very nicely executed many other games which try to minimize hud still have a separate button for a menu in which upgrades are made, experience points given, resources managed. Dead space 2 had seamless transitions into holographic images baked into the world. - this game has a very few cuts one after Isaac examination, for sure one after the eye scene and maybe a few more. Most of the game is done with very long continuous shots

Having just played the dead space remake 2023, this game feels hugely intense, i mean two main boss monsters just getting to the tram, and failure to kill either results in end of game sequences. (you get crushed by the train if you dont kill the monster quick). I didnt realise how intense this game was.
I think that is the whole point to make learn that if you die, well you know where you'll start again, it is very torturing similar to DOOM frame work.
I'm here because I've got as far as the Solar allignment part. I see you've got an arse load of credit and stashes of items. How did you attain all that? Looking at what I've got I'm fooked!
It's really easy on easy mode. If you die it's because you're not even looking at the screen. And once you finished that i recommend above normal to make it more difficult, stressing and scarier.
how do I do the bit at 1 hr 39? it doesn't work,I only get 2 arms to come down which turn orange and move back up,I tried everything but I don't know what I'm doing wrong?
What's the "hand gun"? I also don't recall the force gun being able to do all of that. I need to play this again, hoping EA hasn't fucked it up like Rock Star broke GTA 4 and Red Dead. That hand gun looks like an inside joke I missed or is new. I hope if they ever make this a live action movie, they use Tom Cruise.
