This game came out thirteen years ago and it still looks amazing.
Makes me maximum pissed that EA shafted Dead Space again and we most likely will not get a Dead Space 2 remake.
Hopefully one day , in part I blame the 70$ price tag . That game would have sold more if it was 60

No one ever confirmed that another dead space remake was cancelled or approved, so i still have hope but a DS2R won't happen soon
@@RedHood22 Motive is currently working on the campaign stuff for the next Battlefield, so that may or may not be the reason Dead Space 2 remake isn't a thing right now.

Funny story, I was in a Uhaul place in California 2013 or 2014, northern LA.
Me, a familiar middle Eastern guy, and sales associate.
Speeding it up, it was the actor Navid Negahban and I watched Homeland but I didn’t put it together at that moment.
So I’m looking the other way, he tells the guy what he wants and it’s this unmistakable voice.
I quickly turned to him, I said “I know you,”
he smiled and he said “you do?”
I said, “yeah, you’re the evil doctor from Dead Space, Dr. Mercer.”
And this guy was laughing and smiling, and he said, “yeah, that’s me”.
Just a few words and I knew 💯 it was him, never happened before and it never happened again, recognizing a voice actor.
I hated that guy in the game, I played that game more than any other game, maybe tied with GEARS 1.
I watch the walkthroughs as if it was a movie, you watch it because it is a gameplay.
We're not the same.

I started playing dead space remake and it’s a 10 out of 10
The gameplay mechanics are truly impressive. The combat system is so fluid and dynamic, allowing for seamless combos and breathtaking moves. I can only compare this game to the early legendary resident evil games, it is a masterpiece of the same level an absolute timeless classic.
Out of 1,2,and 3 2 is best one. I hope they do a remake for 2
Honestly dead space 1 and 2 never needed a remake , those games still hold up to this day, technology and graphical wise, 2000 and early 2010s was really a great era for gaming.

Multiplayer was great man atleast i got to play it for years before getting shutdown, maybe theres a chance for it to comeback on ds2 remake if it evens happens
I recently downloaded dead space, the remake for ps5 i loved it. I never had an idea. This game even existed so yes, I was probably living under a rock lol. I have a subscription for playstation plus and was able to download it free and let me tell you.I would have gladly paid the money for it. Hands down 10 out of 10 very dope game and I recommend it

It makes me kinda sad that dead space 2 won't get it's own remake, but still... even for a game that came out in 2011 for ps3 and xbox 360 it still looks good!! It was ahead of its time. The mission of going back to the ishimura was like coming back to hell!!

One of the greatest game sequels ever! In many ways, it reminds me of how Ridley Scott's somber, claustrophobic Alien (1979) was followed by James Cameron's louder and more action-packed Aliens (1986). Unfortunately, the movies and the games were both then followed by a terrible 3rd entry that tanked the franchise.

Dead Space 2 is the best in the series...However, it has one MAJOR flaw which made DS3 so bad. The flaw started when Isaac sent Ellie away in the Gun Supply Shuttle she found. it was at this point EA decided to make Ellie a non-playable NPC in DS3 and implemented Carver. Carver has NO connection, whatsoever, to Isaac. Carver has no clue about the Markers. Yet, EA made Ellie a very passive, meek Non-playable character in DS3. Ellie should have been the Playable NPC in DS3, without any doubt. Especially, since she came back and saved Isaac at the end of DS2. But Dead Space 1 put the Horror-Action-Thriller Genre on the Map. I still play DS2 and the first Dead Space.... I have DS3 but EA really screwed that game up.

I think they abandoned the remake for whatever reason, but maybe 1 day who knows. Play the original, it's still amazing

I know that most of DS fans are love DS1, but for me DS2 is much way better in all possible ways.
It's much more interesting, less monotonous, there are much more interesying moments, scenes and enemies.

Dead Space was a great series. But they were never commercially successful, so the franchise was scrapped 🤷♂️
The Callisto Protocol was a second chance for the series but it failed to deliver on the hype 🤷♂️
We'll probably never see a DeadSpace-like game ever again 🤷♂️
The original one may be scarier because of the atmosphere and sense of isolation, but DS2 beats it in almost every other way.
Even then... game's still scary.

the movement improvements are nice though i liked DS1's clunk. but the backwards run makes it one of the most fluid shooters ever. i just get the immersion broken when a swarm of babies collectively decides its time to come get you, smart thinking hive mind. shouldve mostly been an elementary level only enemy
