I absolutely love Glasgow. I lived there for four years, then moved and have lamented it ever since. It is the best city in the world, and its people are just amazing. One day I'll return to live there!
Because it was uploaded by someone from Germany where Scottish bands often play at Irish festivals. Irish groups used to play a lot there there but now it's more Scottish. Many Germans seem to think that Scots are just another kind of Irish (-: That said, I just saw on another video that Battlefield Band played at an Irish festival in Texas. The bands don't seem to care as long as they get well-paying gigs.
@nitanewsreader Glasgow is a great place, you should visit sometime.Good if your young, has a good night life.Good if your old to,lots off mellow places around the west end.Quite parks and places just to chill out.And your only 20 mins from the wild magesty off Loch Lommand,if you have a car.
But Irish Gael's are the "Scot's" who created Scotland from war torn old Caledonia! therefore, they are One tribe! Only lowlanders are differant, a mix of Saxon, Norman, Welsh. A completely opposite, and sophisticated world, to that of the more rough and wild Highland Gael's west of the Highland Line! Two countries in one! They hated each other with a passion, one side seeing the other as savages, except for the brief unity of the Jacobite cause of 1689-1715-1745. Watch video>>"The Corries-Rise Rise"
Rubbish, they had no hate for eachother from around 800 onward as people had all referred to themselves Scots, what do you mean more sophisticated, the highland clans were perfectly civilised with great codes of honour their were clan rivalries but these were usually over sheep rustling and thievery. Plus, Kentigern was a Fifer and likely a Pict, meaning he would have had no Irish ties at all.
+viciouswolf1111 The Highland clans were sophisticated with their own code of behaviour but the lowlanders still considered them savages because that code was different. The lowlanders were more like their English neighbors.and the clan Campbell, although highland, felt they were superior to the clans who lived farther from the sea.
ThePamAnne Yes, you are completely right, I was specifically referring to hatred between the Picts and Gaels, by the time that Lowlanders and Highlanders were recognised culturally as different groups of people, the Gael/Pict divide was long gone.

My family came from Glasgow but I've never been there and know little about it, but I'm drawn to all things Scottish
Let Glasgow flourish, my homeland, my heart and my soul.
So good

This song is Scottish @AngelBoySwiss, not Irish.
