By the end of 2022, this team should have been broken up. Anyone with eyes could have told you that Kawhi was chronically broken and PG is in only slightly better shape.

Honestly 2020 to 2022 was the only window Clippers could have won. The next generation of talents and their teams were young back then, but have matured and started taking over since 2022. And Clippers' injury and age started catching up.

A problem the Clippers also never worked out was, in the absence of Kawhi & PG13, developing another player who could be a starter AND get comparable numbers.
19/20 - Next best scorers after Kawhi & PG13 were two guys who started a total of 10 games (Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell)
20/21 - Third best scorer was getting 13.4 ppg and even though they only had Kawhi/PG13 for 52/54 games, they started 9 more games than anyone else on the Clippers roster (Reggie Jackson 43)
21/22 - No Kawhi and limited PG13, but Reggie Jackson gave them games, starts (75) and ppg (16.8)
22/23 - Another 52/56 games from their big 2 and again, no-one developed to be a consistent starting scorer. Powell off the bench, a half season for Westbrook and a limited season for Jackson.
23/24 - Best chance for the Clippers. Kawhi and PG13 play 68/74 games AND get James Harden to add 72 starts of his own and get 62.9 ppg out of those three players, and they could still only finish 5th and lose in the first round.

And truth be told, that 3-1 lead that got blown in the semis in 2020 doesn’t get talked about enough. Anthony Davis got more criticism for injuries when he played more than Kawhi and PG since they all got to LA in 2019, and he helped bring a championship to the Lakers.
