    Only a great country like the USA can honor its deceased in such a beautiful and profoundly respectful way. A great nation can also be seen in these things. The United States is and will be in my heart for this reason too ♥

    Actually cremation has been an accepted practice in the Catholic Church since the 1960's and the Vatican council . The big thing is the church wants the cremated remains either interred or inurned in consecrated ground.

    Were there any pictures of the people who are entombed there displayed? Have you ever been to Bohemian National Cemetery on the north side? Their Columbarium is very old and creepy!

      Not sure since it was a viewer submission, he showed in the columbarium parts and pictures, but I don’t know. And no, I’ve never been there.

      Yes, some of the crypts did have pictures, but not too many as compared to some other places. I have not been to that particular one you're referencing, I did consider going to it but I only had limited enough time in chicago. Next time I go, I would like to go there.

    Most of the furniture fabric at Queen of Heaven is from the 1950’s and 60’s.

    • @tylerscott6610
      @tylerscott6610 14 дней назад +1

      Yes I wish I could have gotten more footage, but there was so many other people inside there conducting business. The place was built in 1955, so you're right, all the furniture is like a time capsule from then.

    St. Philomena is a patron saint of babies and children. So possibly the few urns that were near her were the remains of children. Though I hope I'm wrong, it always saddens me to think a family suffered the loss of a baby or child.
