I found Wintersun in 2010 or 2011 when I randomly asked my coworker what is his favorite band and he said Wintersun. Although I was not into metal, I promised to check it out, I searched their album "Wintersun" (it was the only album released at that point) and I pressed play and it was "love at the first sight". Never before I've heard music that spoke to me in a such deep level. It was like it was made just for me.
Soon after I learned about the new album "Time" which had been in a development hell for many years already (it was announced in 2006) and I was very curious about that. Around that time the band was touring and they played a song from the new album and the song is called "The Way of the Fire" and as I heard the live footage of that, I was absolutely mind-blown. It was the most incredible otherworldly ride. 10 minutes of pure musical bliss, even though the sound quality was very bad.
In 2012 Jari released Time I (he decided with his record label to split the album in two parts) and it really took his music to a whole new level and it has truly incredible songs, but for me that didn't quite come close to "The Way of the Fire", which was said to be included in the next album: "Time II" so the great wait began.
Fast forward 12 years to the year 2024. I must have listened the live recordings of "The Way of the Fire" like million times and it's always a thrilling ride which never gets old, but in August 30th the great wait comes to an end and Time II will be released and I get to hear the studio version of the song and it will be a life altering experience since even the crappy live version has been, easily, my all time favorite song.
Besides music, games have been my great passion, especially chess, but I adore The Legend of Zelda -games too.

I don't know if you saw my comments during the chat earlier but I wanted to know what is your time frame for my own wintersun suggestions my queen . And I have to commend you for your in depth analysis on this masterpiece of music considering that you are a musician yourself. It helps to inform others like myself to get into a musicians mindset to explain it to where people can understand what you are trying to say about creating music. But I did hear from you that you took my advice and search for jaris RUclips channel wintersun jari and get into jaris mind and fully understand how his mind works when he composes his music . I can safely that I can put you and jari as creative individuals when it comes to tapping into your creativity but then again jari is almost literally from another plain of existence it seems. Like he came down from Valhalla and took human form and brought his gift in creating his symphonic viking metal. As an individual in my entire life has a band brought out the human emotions like wintersun and I am not alone jvb there are others like myself feeling euphoria Angst fear hope in their music they create. But I wish I could tell you more here but it would be more easier to text you if wewere willing to communicate more freely as lovers of music. And are you German or Dutch you never answered my question about that . And also do you have a permanent residence or you travel in a RV ? That would be cool to travel the country and see different people and places while composing your music from your daily life experiences. And also I don't know why but I always think that you do your reactions barefoot. The legendary early demos, 56 tracks, written in 1992-2000 do not have isolated tracks being released. Only the Time I 2.0 and Time II -albums will come with isolated tracks for the campaign backers. I do like these demo songs, but frankly they do not hit nearly as hard as the songs in albums which have been released, the debut album, Time I, The Forest Seasons and the upcoming Time II, but some people prefer the more primitive demo stuff
I like these demos for different reasons than the more modern stuff. Arguably this song has more in common with the debut Ensiferum album than it does with the Time albums. They're both great but in different ways, and I'm here for everything.
