Really enjoyed it. It’s very curious that SA crossing have the bell ring until the gates have risen. Seems to be the only state where that’s the case. Also seems to be the only place where incandescent crossing bulbs have survived.
Very good vid as always. I'm guessing most, if not all, of these m-bells are WCH, given that the footage is from SA & NSW? If I had to choose a favorite bell tone, the WCH m-bell would be it, closely followed by the McK&H teardrop. But, like most ppl here, I say any m-bell (even if it's in less-than-perfect health!) sounds way better than most e-bells... :)
McK&H Aust Thanks! Hopefully once Vic is allowed to go on regional travels I’ll be able to record level crossings. I’ve got a tripod so that makes it easier as well. Thanks once again :)
Great video Bell ! Live to see more footage of crossings that you’ve already uploaded . Shame this didn’t make the final cut
Thanks!
Thanks a lot for sharing some unused footage :) also great video and I really hope you can start filming again! :)

Nice and at 6:40 look NR81 and NR48 both with out the PN logo because of fires that’s crazy to see them together

0:32 remind me of how many people went straight through the orange lights! Six?
It would have been difficult for the first few to stop
Awesome video

Thanks! Yes all of the m-bells are WCH, I like them too.
Great video McK&H! Any tips for filming a level crossing?
Thanks! Not sure about the tips, a tripod is a must and you need to be patient because sometimes you have to wait a long time for a train :)
