You’re absolutely right. I’m a big fan of Angela Lansbury as well. I have the smaller compact size of the murder she wrote box set. I will treasure that forever. And Angela Lansbury will remain in all of our hearts. I saw her in a lot of movies. It’s tough to decide which one I like the most. I saw her in nanny McPhee. Mr. poppers penguins. Bedknobs and broomsticks. Just a name a few. I seem to remember that. She was in an episode of touched by an Angel at one time. if my memory serves me correctly I believe she also starred in national velvet with Elizabeth Taylor. She was also in a movie with Elvis Presley. There were some movies that she was in that I didn’t see like for example. Sweeney Todd. And then the Cherion candidate. Those two movies I didn’t see.

I think Angela Lansbury's best role which she'll always be remembered for was as murder mystery novelist and detective Jessica Fletcher in Murder She Wrote.

My first exposure to her was in "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" . She was a true legend in every sense of the word . Rest in peace Mrs. Lansbury and know that you were cherished by many generations .

She was gold
She always touched my life, and continues to do so. The only actress that I always looked forward to watching. She had a wonderful personality, charisma, and lots of desire to give us her best. She had an amazing gift to inspire and touch all those around her, including all the viewers that watched her. I never met her personally except on the screen but her death has deeply touched me. It’s like losing a part of you. I love her in everything she did but my favorite is Murder She Wrote. She really outdid herself on that Series. She is a legend and I don’t think anyone would dispute that. Not many actors touch you the way she did. May she Rest In Peace.

Angela Lansbury is an Icon. I will remember her. I do not get tired of watching ‘Murder She Wrote’ I love rewatching the episodes tons of time.

When I was little, bedtime was right after Murder, She Wrote went off. It was a special time with my momma and I would watch it with her.
One of the greatest moments of my life was seeing her on Broadway in the all-too-short revival of MAME in 1983. Just before "Murder, She Wrote."
I loved her. Her home on murder she wrote is one I wanted to grow up in. A picture of Dorian Gray, Gas light , beauty and the beast, national Velvet with Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney.
I love her. I’m so sad
I grew up on Bedknobs & National Velvet. Angela Lansbury was just as influential on my childhood as Julie Andrews. I fell in love with her again in Sweeney Todd & Murder. My heart is absolutely shattered.
She's one of the most inspirational people for me, always made me smile and to never lose my imagination and sense of wonder, RIP!

My wife still gives me grief that I watch Murder She Wrote everyday. She will always be Jessica Fletcher to me.

I mainly knew her as a voice actress starting with 'The Last Unicorn' an often forgotten role and then of course as Mrs Potts in Beauty and The Beast, but of course enjoyed her many roles on TV and film. She'll be missed.
From what I knew of her. Angela Lansbury was a sweetheart in real life as well as her character Jessica Beatrice Fletcher from Cabot Cove Maine. When I heard the news about her passing I was sad. It still hurts a little. I’ve never met her but I wish I had.. I’d like to say to her family I am truly sorry for your loss. Angela Lansbury was an absolute sweetheart from what I could tell. She made me feel like I wanted to get to know her. And be a star on murder she wrote just for fun. I wouldn’t mind having Jessica Fletcher for a friend. Or Angela Lansbury for that matter. My father admired Angela Lansbury and Roddy McDowall, so when they acted together in "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" he was doubly thrilled. Angela Lansbury had a wonderful and lengthy career. Both she and McDowall came to the US because of the London Blitz, but they both valued their English heritage. Lansbury was in movies like "National Velvet", "Beauty and the Beast" and many other films. We all watched her in "Murder, She Wrote" for years. Rest in Peace, Angela Lansbury. We will always cherish your work.

I have been binge watching Murder she wrote. Ms Lansbury as J.B. Fletcher was such a sharp dresser. I loved her as Elvis Presley's southern belle mother in Blue Hawaii and of course Mrs Potts. She would have made a great Golden Girl.

I've seen three roles Angela Lansbury played, Jessica Fletcher in Murder, she wrote, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the beast, and the Anastasia's grandmother the empress in the movie Anastasia

Her Grandfather was the head of the Labor Party in Britain and she always was, according to Amy Goodman, a Proud Socialist. I always thought that one of her first film roles was as the older sister of
Elizabeth Taylor in National Velvet. It was made about the same time as Gaslight. She was multi talented, but was always the supporting actress in films. On Broadway, she shone & has a ton of Tony's to show for it. Her long running "Murder She Wrote" earned her lots of Emmy's & was a Sunday Nite tradition for a decade. And then she could switch from being a lovely woman to playing a very scary mad mother in Manchurian Candidate. She got nominations, but never won in films. She had a lot of disappointments, but learned to make lemonade out of the lemons she was given. I always enjoyed her guest shots on Magnum PI and Hawaii 5 0.
