I love how the crown prince got his grandmothers cane and kept looking at her as she left.
Yes it was so touching and we can see the love he has for her.
Me too!! So lovely!!
Respect for his elders ❤ A NOBLE quality!
His parents taught him very well ❤
After watching his actions in this video, I just adore him! He is an exceptional human being, and at only 18, so polished and empathetic.
Crowning a new Monarch without the sadness of a recent death is a brilliant idea. A very happy and emotional day.
I agree, when they are getting old and their health is failing, they should be able to step down, get a little rest in their last years, and still be on hand to advise the new King and Queen if needed. It nearly broke my heart seeing our poor Queen Elizabeth just before her death, get herself up out of bed, to meet the new PM, with her bruised hand and barely able to stand, nevermind walk, but Still giving her last drops of life and energy to her country and its people 😢😢😢😢💔💔💔💔💔❤️
Agreed!!!!!
I Loved watching this and I have to admit, seeing Queen Margarethe being so proud of her son and saying God save the King before hurriedly leaving, bless her, made me tearful too, hugs all x
Was thing the same, A much happier ceremony
I’ve always thought abdication is the best way. The older monarch can give the younger advice, there’s no mourning during the transition and nobody feels like a ghoul for wanting the throne.
Watching her say God save the King and leave the room brought tears to my eyes.
I didn't know that the former Queen said anything. I just thought it was odd she rushed out so fast. Thank you, Brittany, for clearing that up.
@@debbiesims138 A Danish commenter on another video said that once Margrethe abdicated, she couldn’t stay in the council chamber any longer.
@@GratiaCountryman Thank you.
Actually, my Queen broke down at that moment 😢
Gud bevare kongen / God save the King she said before she went out @@LadyEileen
With the abdication, his mother can give King Frederik tips about different situations that arise. This is a graceful way to transfer power from Queen to King.
Or she can just be a grandmother to her 8 grandchildren 😅
I love Mary Frederick and their family 🎉❤❤
NOOOOO that was ADORABLE. She just wanted to support her father and was proud and caught up in the moment. It shows how close she is to her father. Let's not judge. We judge the royal families for being too stiff.
I prefer the Scandinavian Royals.
As tbey seem more relaxed
I do not expect anyone to be perfect or have to be role models in marriage
Are you referring to Josephine? It was sweet and she looked so uncomfortable waving to the crowd after that I would point out also that she is 13 and it's a tough emotional situation.
I love Josephine’s relaxed personality. She reminds me of Aussie kids. I thought Isabella looked very attractive but the look was too old for her. Made her look matronly in my opinion.
@@drubee7793 It was explained today that the girls got permission to raid their moms closet for clothes and jewelry for the occasion. So they were in Queen Marys clothes
We just love princess josephine !!!
I am Danish born but now in 🇨🇦. It was wonderful to see the proclamation. The Danes are very minimalistic which shows in the proclamation ceremony. If you’re ever in Denmark you’ll notice the minimalistic approach. It’s so refreshing not to have stuff and be cluttered. Try to go to Copenhagen. You will love it especially in the summer! It’s a great city to walk around in. Incredible history.
Queen Margarethe’s secret meetings of her then fiancé in London was really interesting. She was studying architecture! Riding the tube to meet in secret at Harrods! Not recognized by the public which must have been refreshing. Although the Danish royals wander around Copenhagen shopping and living life and the public doesn’t make a big show of it. There’s the minimalistic approach again!
I can't wait to go!! I almost went this time, but things were a bit too tight so it was best that I didn't, but I'm looking forward to it! Thanks for watching!!
My Danish friend told me that their queen is quite different to ours. She would get on her bicycle and go to the store and buy cigarettes.
It must have wonderful for her to see her son's proclamation.
Yes, our Royals used to be able to wander around alone in Copenhagen. However, sadly this is no longer possible due to the threat from crazies and terrorists. Constantly having to have bodyguards is a heavy toll on anybody.
When the King was young he rebelled against this, even trying to evade his bodyguards and strike out on his own. The guards are highly trained policemen and they keep a discreet distance, but are always there to step in if needed. The kids go to public schools, and unfortunately they always have to have a guard with them. This focus is only going to get worse now that the parents are the monarchs.
We just visited Copenhagen in November, and we LOVED Copenhagen. What an absolutely gorgeous City. We are returning this summer to visit outside of Denmark. We have had the blessing to visit many countries in Europe, and Denmark is in our top 3. You must be so proud of your Country 🥰
I visited Copenaghen about 15 yrs ago. So beautiful, many landmarks. Hope to return one day!
A wonderful day so proud of King Frederick he was so emotional and Queen Mary was beautiful and so supportive of her husband. They have lovely children the youngest daughter hugging her father was so sweet.I was so happy for all of them.
Me too!! Such a lovely day!!
What touched me was when Queen M said God Save the King, CP Christian pouted a bit and visibly felt her emotion. What an amazing gift for them both to share that connection.
There was NO tension on the balcony. King Frederick and Queen Mary look great together. I wish them all the best
Thank you for your coverage Brittany! ❤ It was so nice to enjoy the Proclamation with the community! I loved that King Frederik addressed the Nation and of course, I loved The Kiss!
I’m so glad!! The kiss was fantastic!!
Please call him Frederik. It's not a German name.
@@charismahornum-fries691 My apologies - I’ve fixed the spelling.
@@charismahornum-fries691 what is German spelling Fredereich?! You're an annoying person on the internet especially when the original comment was most wholesome.
@@ShaniB465 please don't apologize to random bullies on the internet. You already came off as a lamb, and unsurprisingly a beast immediately attacked. I don't even know how Frederik is spelled "German." It can be spelled Frederic, Frederick.
Queen Margrethe. The complete package.Such a class act.The type of person you do no really appreciate until they are gone.Beautiful.Intelligent.Empathetic.Dutiful.
When King Frederick married Queen Mary he got very teary eyed watching her walk down the isle 😢❤
I also think the Queen may have been emotional due to being able to see her son take on the role she has prepared him for. I still have very young children but there is nothing like the pride in seeing your child rise to the occassion and take on new roles. Plus, as you mentioned, she became Queen on the death of her Father. Maybe she was also thinking of how he wasn't able to witness her ascension and she gets to see this special moment for her son. 💗
Yes, there were definitely so so many emotions that I'm sure she was feeling in that moment! Thanks for watching!!
This was such a great video with the highlights of the Danish Proclamation! Love when you feature the Scandinavian (and the other European) Royals!
CP Christian's face when he sees his grandmother cry, his chin goes up and as you said, it looked like he really wanted to run after her, it was lovely. Queen Margrethe's face when she says "Gud Bevare Kongen" just breaks my heart. It was bittersweet.
King Frederik looks so lovingly at Queen Mary, it was overall a great day! And to see Queen Margrethe today together with the new King and Queen and a smiling Prince Joachim felt really good. So nice to see them all together, the first day!
It was such an amazing day!! So exciting to see this new King and Queen begin their careers and it’s fun to cover the other royals!!
@@RoyalNewsNetworkLovely, that you do it, Brittany, but please don’t keep promoting unsubstantiated rumours!!
@@LadyEileen oh no, that's not fair. Brittany wouldn't do that. She reported only exactly what was said to have happened, exactly how it happened. She didn't report anything unsubstantiated at all. Two reporters were there, there are photos. There is a timeline of what happened and when. Brittany is very careful in her reporting, really she is. Best wishes.
@@RosiesCottageBlog Brittany is continuing to mention, and emphasise rumours of an alleged affair. An affair that didn’t happen, and which the involved lady has refuted! On top of that, she has later confirmed that she leaked the story because she wanted to make her ex-husband, jealous.
King Frederick is very much in love with his wife! You can see it whenever you meet them in Copenhagen or around the country. There is NO chance that he would EVER cheat on her. NO chance at all, and I appalled that a RUclipsr like Brittany, who normally reports correctly, keeps on bringing a sleazy rumour forward. Even now, six months after his visit to Madrid.
NO ONE knows what happened at that apartment!! No one except the two people who were there and I don’t care how many photographers who can present photos of him walking from the apartment in the morning! It’s simply not true! King. Frederick is a very intelligent man - every Dane can tell you that, and do you honestly think that he would be accompanying this lady in broad daylight, if there had been an affair????
@@LadyEileen I think it's lovely that you're so loyal to your King, I really do, but in defence of Brittany, as I said, she's only ever said what has been reported. You're exactly right, no one knows what happened, but one thing is for sure though, even if they spent the night innocently playing chess, it was wrong for him to be there. He's a married man who holds a high public office. His actions left him open to gossip, true or not doesn't really matter, because either way it resulted in his wife being embarrassed in the worlds media. It was an awful thing to happen to such a sweet lady.
As I said @frureeslev, I think it's lovely that you're so loyal to your King. Brittany is a lovely, sweet, kind person and I'm sure didn't mean any offence. I'm sure she'll take your comments seriously and be really hurt that she might have caused any upset. It's nice to meet you and congratulations on your new King and Queen. I loved watching the proclamation, it was very emotional (I cried a little.) Have a great week, best wishes.
I think King Frederik and Queen Mary looked so happy and united, it was gorgeous. Very emotional watching Queen Magrethe saying God save the King and leave the room....you cannot help but feel how emotional this moment would be for her to handover to her son ❤ Prince Christian looks so handsome like his paternal grandfather, and I love that he is so aware of the emotions of those around him and that he shows a keen awareness of everyone around him....makings of a great prince and future King ❤
I think the now king was SHOCKED, when she walked out after saying god save the king.
So right Brittany, overwhelming for any 13 year old when your dad becomes king. Sweet to see them cuddle❤
Me too!! I think sometimes people are too harsh. It’s not easy at all being 13, especially since they were 12 a week ago. Always great to hear from you Kris!!
And she’s 13 and actually wants to cuddle him!
It was amazing and emotional and your coverage of it was awesome. Thank you Brittany. I liked how so many people from Australia thanked you for the coverage, because they apparently couldn’t find it, though it was on Sky News. So many people got to watch it through your channel. Including me & I’m so grateful to be a member! Thanks for this video as well. Love from Oregon ♥️ Jessica
Yes, I’m so glad it went so well!!
It was so touching esp with Queen Margrethe in tears after signing the abdication paper
I really did enjoy the simplicity of this proclamation. Really seemed to let those family moments really shine.
I love the British Royal Family but as an American, it was really cool to see how things work in another country like Denmark. ❤ I appreciate how emotional this was and appreciate how affectionate they still were as a family.
I'm so happy that you chose that as your number one pick. For me it was the most memorable moment on the day, and I'm not ashamed that I shed a tear. Her thoughts obviously went to her beloved father at that point and to see her son, who even shares the same name, sit in the same chair, must have been very emotional for her.
THIS WAS JUST THE SWEETEST!! I think there's nothing as precious as ascending the throne and seeing your parent be there for that. This was a joyous celebration :)
From a Dutch perspective: I guess we're so down to earth that we've had at least three voluntary abdications: King Willem-Alexander's mother, grandmother and great-grandmother abdicated. It makes sense to me: retire like 'regular' people do and spend time with your (grand)children and other family or friends. Furthermore, a new monarch can still ask their predecessor for advice if needs be. It's a rather practical approach.
The moment Queen Margrethe says "Gud Bevare Kongen".... it has me in tears every time... I am practically sobbing honestly. Yes, it is bittersweet but I also think in some way she was very honored and humbled to see her son sit as head of the Council for the first time, as King of Denmark and no longer as Crown Prince, which now falls to Christian, must have made her very emotional because in theory she wouldn't have witnessed this - if she stuck to traditions.
I didn't physically go in to Christiansborg because I am not fond of huge crowds.. I am tripping every time I run Royal Run because we are packed in those small streets before we get to run but my Mother and Sister went. I watched in with my grandmother on TV and noticed how happy Queen Margrethe looked in the carriage while going through the streets towards the castle. I can imagine she is relieved because I am most certainly convinced she wanted Frederik to have a better transition than her or even Charles had. Normally a Danish proclamation comes on the heals (within 24 hours) of the previous monarch's death. So having to stand there and both in grief but also "smile" to your countrymen must be so horrible and difficult. She wanted to spare Frederik that and who knows... maybe Margrethe has started a new tradition :) cause why can't it be a joyous occasion rather than a sorrow filled one?
If she was afraid that Frederik wasn't as popular as she is, I think the collected 300k people in the streets must've show cased it. Not including all the ones watching! We love our Queen and we love our new King & Queen just as much. Mary is great for him - and I honestly don't believe the "allegations" people are making of him. The dude makes lovey eyes at his wife, just like I do when I see a kanelsnegl... and he wears his emotions on his sleeves.... Frederik may be a badass but he is as equally emotional. His wedding... tears all over the place, as well as on the balcony. We like to call him "tudeprins" - lovingly meant ;) and they also have a bunch of wonderful children. Christian will do just as wonderfully when it is his time. All the attention he had on his grandmother says it all.
A fun fact: Margrethe was watching the last guard shift (of her reign) from her window at her residence, which she is known to do often.
Okay, 1) What is a kanelsnegl? 2) What does "tudepins" mean?
@@Duchess_Bananabread Kanelsnegl is a Danish (flakey/puff pastry) cinnamon roll 😂
tudeprins is a Danish saying for a "crybaby" because he was crying during his wedding and in general when there are emotional events happening - as he was on the balcony. I will say that I find it endearing and wonderful that he shows his feelings🥰🥰
“The dude makes lovely eyes at his wife, just like I do when I see a kanelsnegl….” 🤣🤣🤣
Det er dog ikke særligt respektfuldt at omtale vores konge som “the dude” på engelsk, men en sjov sammenligning med en kanelsnegl.” 🤣🤣🤣
@@julianneheindorf5757 it translates to cinnamon snail. 🐌 🤣 Edit: which is hilarious because I see the snail's shell resembles a cinnamon roll. 😂
@@Torniization so she said "God Save the King" in Danish?? It would've made more sense if she mentioned that in the video 🙄 because I did not see her lips say that pre audio nor did I hear it with audio as I was looking and listening for English.
Oh my heart just broke for Queen Margrethe then. She abdicated for all the right reasons but of course it's a decision that comes with much pain. It was written upon her face
It does! She did what she needed to do, but I do think that there were a lot of emotions attached as well. Thanks for watching!! So glad you enjoyed!
As a Dane, I think her emotions were more so because she was just so *proud* to have been able to witness him ascend the throne. Please remember that she didn't get that. Her father was dead on the same day that she ascended her throne, and it must have been so elating for her to be alive to see him take over.
I'm sure it's also emotional to finally see your son become King... Such a sweet moment ❤
Aww 🥰 I watched your excellent livestream that day ❤ It was so heartwarming how the handsome new King of Denmark 🇩🇰 was wiping away the tears ❤ Queen Mary was so regal and supportive. I’m sure the AUSSIES Are so proud of her 🇦🇺 .
I swear you said, Aaaww 🥰 at least Fifty times during that livestream, and I was right there with you!
Princess Isabella was an absolute STUNNER 🌟🥰
I imagine it must be a huge relief for the new King to not be pulled between wanting to fulfill his destiny yet knowing that comes at the cost of losing his mom. I recall, then Prince Charles, reflecting on the same feelings.
No doubt, today is bittersweet for the Queen, but they are also free to feel joyous.
Lovely Coronation, down to earth but very beautiful! Congratulations to the Danes and their King and Queen .
Mary shows how to do the foreigner marrying a royal. She's so regal and lovely.
Congratulations to King Frederick and Queen Mary.
Awe Christian whipping his back around as his grandmother left the room. So concerned for his grandma. Sweet boy ♥️
They really have a lovely family. I hope all goes well for them.
“God save the King” just choked me up. Thanks for talking about this in such a sweet and kind way.
I LOVED their kiss! It was the real thing.😊😊❤❤🎉
I don’t like rumor mongering. The King and Queen look very happy together. They have a beautiful family.
About what?
@@kajmore About his alleged affair recently. Brittany has a video talking about it. He spent the night at a "friend's" apartment and was photographed leaving the building with her.
@@chloeann4423 I forgot about that even though I had commented in that episode. Thanks for replying.
@@kajmore That was very much in my mind as I watched them on the balcony, you know? They seem to have worked it out, it does look like they have a genuine connection. That WAS a stupid thing for him to do, though, even if she was nothing more than a friend... What do you think?
@@chloeann4423 I see that they have chemistry. That's not fake. Queen Mary was distracted by whoever was speaking to her. The kiss seemed genuine to me. Their eyes lit up when they looked at each other. If people think that they looked awkward, well take into account they are new monarchs. I think that their majesties are just sick of the gossip and they are trying to move on. Long may they reign.
My favorite royal family and Queen now!❤ Mary, imo, is the epitome of elegance.
I remember that in your livestream (thank you for all your work, by the way), I wrote that I was literally crying at the moment. And yes, I was. It was an emotional event, after all. The Scandinavian royals, especially the Danish Royal Family, are my favorite of all royal families, and to have the opportunity to watch how history is written as Queen Margrethe abdicated in favor of her son is something I will never forget.
Queen Mary looked absolutely fabulous..
And she is probably overwhelmed because her son is now king and his life is changing radically
Hi Brittany Mary looked stunning & nailed it as usual. Isabella is also great especially wearing the red Danish colours. If you are interested the Designer of Mary's dress is Danish Designer Soeren. He was interviewed this morning on the Australian morning news show Today channel 9 network by journalist Sarah Abo available on RUclips.❤
Oh that's awesome! I saw his Vogue piece and I almost mentioned his name, but I was a bit worried I would butcher it so I thought it might be better if I didn't try. ☺️ Thanks for watching!!
From the Northern California Redwoods, my best wishes for the Danes and their new King. God bless them all.
From the Southern part of Denmark, where the Royal family spends a lot of time during summer holidays - thank you - or as we say in Danish - Tak! ❤
So true- i’m danish - kronprins Christian Seem like such an amasing good-hearted Young man- we love all ours Royals❤️🌞
The new King and Queen are such a good looking couple and beautiful family. ❤ So happy for all of them. Best wishes for Queen Margeth for rest and recovery from back surgery. ❤
I have been following the Danish royal family for years and love their story. Congratulations to the new King and Queen.
How sweet is Prince Christian's doting over his grandmother? He seems wonderful
Queen Mary is so graceful and elegant.
Congratulations King Frederick and Queen Mary what a beautiful couple.
Who is this Frederick"?? Looking it up, there are only 189 "Fredericks" in Danmark (2024 ). So I should probably know!? On the other hand, there are 24.799, who goes by the name Frederik, including our new King of Danmark.
You covered this brilliantly Brittany thank you for your hard work.
You're so welcome!
I hope the Queen already did the required introduction so she can now take a well deserved holiday. No doubt a place will be carved out for her once her healing improves.
It's impossible to recover from spinal surgery in a matter of only a few weeks. Especially working full time.
Prince Christian needed a vest with that jacket. His response to help his grandmother just reflects his tenderness and love for her.
No one should be throwing a 13 year old under the bus. That day required maturity and now more reflective choices on her part. I hope the light stays on the older siblings so she can find her place without scrutiny by press.
Princess Isabella looks like her grandmother. It will be interesting to see if that changes as she ages. Her wave even was similar
That’s so interesting! She’s so pretty I think!☺️
I'm so Happy the Queen Mary so beautiful, elegant. The Danish people love her.The prince Christian like him mother have 😇
I was crying😭..it was wonderful. So happy for them.
I love your channel. I feel like others are going off the rails with conspiracy theories and repeating the same story over and over the same day.
I agree with you.
I appreciate that!! Thank you!! It’s so nice to cover some other things and happier news!! The other royals are so fun!!
Queen Mary is so regal. I loved the whole day.
There are those at the head of a family business that abdicate their position so their progeny can step up. The realisation that you are no longer able to do the job (or position) you had for decades would be rather confronting. However, at 80 odd I would love my children to take over and what a blessing to be able to see your child in the position they were destined to fill. Also to step into that position without it costing a life.
I’ve been watching all of your Danish Royal Family coverage. Love it!
Yay! Thank you!
I think that’s why so many of your followers appreciate your work, Brittany ❤ You cover so many monarchies. Thank you from a USA 🇺🇸 fan.
Great coverage! Love these 10 Moments. I think, possibly, Queen Mary was emotional, too, which is why she rushed off the balcony. I also think Queen Margarethe is happy yet concerned for her son (and grandson) thinking of the future.
Abdication allows the Queen to see her firstborn become king, to support him as he does, and to see her grandson become the crown prince--her pride in them must be immense. She is a forward-looking person, who will relish her new role, being the mother of the king. Imagine her relief to pass on the responsibility, and return to her own life mostly unencumbered.
Loved the video!❤ Thank you for doing your live yesterday, and for all you videos on the other royal families. I didn't really follow the Scandinavian Royal Families until I found your channel. Now I look forward to seeing what happens. So thanks again!
Aww, I’m so glad!! ☺️ They are so fun, I think!!
I think the late Queen dying in 2022 influenced Queen Margethe to step down at 83 whilst she still had some years left to relax.
I'm SOOOO GLAD for this channel. I was NOT know anything about these other royals if it wasn't for this channel. AND I'm such a fan! I really like now Queen Mary and admire her.
Aww, thank you so much!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! It’s nice to get away from the Harry and Meghan stuff and their nonsense and learn more about the other royals!! ☺️
Same. I didn't even know about Catherine or Meghan or what the royals do. Can you believe it? I'm glad I saw this channel and was educated on the royals. (In my defense I'm only 18 so I still had the fantasy of barbie and medieval movies lol I'm glad to have learned more)
They looked wonderful all together in their balcony moment. I hope all goes smoothly for them.
I love how affectionate the family clearly is with each other. Lots of hugs, touching… it was lovely to see.
I’m just so glad he didn’t have to wait for his mother’s death to accede to the throne. It’s such a big thing, becoming sovereign, and she’s there to advise him rather than him having to mourn her on top of it all.
Yes, like King Charles waited for ever. On the top of my head I think the late Queen Elizabeth the second didn’t really want Charles to be King.
Wow! It was so touching to see the palpable emotions shown by the family, that's something that you can't predict or control. Considering how pared back this was in comparison to the coronation of our King Charles, it was so heartwarming to clearly see what a close-knit family they are and the love and respect they have for one another. To see the King wipe away tears numerous times, bought a tear to my eye, and how gorgeous did Queen Mary look?! I wish the new King my heartfelt congratulations, long live the King! 👑🩷
Thank you, Brittany, for bringing us this video, the live you did was awesome! Sending you lots of love from me in the UK 🇬🇧 🩷👑
Aww, thank you so much Missy!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I loved seeing the emotions on everyone's faces! It made the event so much better! Thanks for watching!!
When Queen Margrethe left the parliament in the car and went back to Amalienborg, she took an extra tour on the courtyard. Amalienborg courtyard is basically a Big roundabout and police will keep the Road to her resident clear. But she had the driver take an extra tour for the public ❤❤ I loved that though I am sure the Security didnt 😂
What a lovely young heir Crown Prince Christian is looking after his grandmother.
Aussie Aussie Aussie Oie Oie Oie.Soooo proud ,she does Australia proud And Denmark ❤Beautiful Queen ❤
Yes he married very well unlike a spare we can think of 😂
I wish the King the best...
Monumental moment. Thank you for the coverage ❤❤❤
Beautiful moments. Lives are changing.
DAMNNNN!!! They had a TURNOUT!!! ❤
It was HUGE!!
300.000 - in a country with less than 6 million people 😮❤
Yeah, then you have to count the millions who were watching the events live on TV. In a lot of places people had gathered in large numbers all over the Kingdom of Denmark to watch on huge tv screens the events unfold. The Kingdom of Denmark is made up of Denmark proper, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. 🇩🇰🇬🇱🇫🇴 Personally, I don’t know anybody who didn’t watch at all.
I loved watching this with you Brittany❤ love King Frederik & Queen Mary and they’re beautiful children 😍
I think it's a good thing for a monarch to "retire" when the've reigned for decades. How proud the Queen must have been to see her son & his lovely wife take the helm.Very emotional as well...no doubt.
I was born in Denmark during King Christian 9th, I was around ten yrs old when Margrethe became Queen. It was a lovely and proud day for all of us Danes.
If you were born when King Christian the IX was the King of Denmark that makes you around a 150 years old since he was our King from 1863 to 1906. 😂😂😂
I think you are referring to King Frederik IX, Queen Margrethe’s father. I was 15 when he passed away in 1972, and she became Queen. And now the Queen and I have both retired at the same time.😁 Lidt kongelig har man da lov at være. 😁 Det er ikke så’n lige at holde styr på alle de der Christianer og Frederikker… 🤣
@@julianneheindorf5757 you are correct lol. Too many Christians and Frederiks. There are days I feel that old lol 😂
I love that King Frederik cried, he cried at their wedding too, when Queen Mary was walking down the isle. I cannot wait to see her wearing the Danish Crown Jewels, especially the Danish Emerald Tiara parure. With the abdication of King Edward for Wallis Simpson, I think the public could have accepted her if she had been British.
It’s so hard to retire, one day you are important, and the next day you are not.
Thankyou for this wonderful coverage of the Danish royalty.
How’s it “bratty” to cuddle your dad?!?! People are pathetic!
Love Denmark and Danish people, what a glorious country❤
well deserved job promotion for Mary. 20yrs as intern proved her worth
Such wonderful coverage of this event! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this moment with you. Another historic change in one of the royal houses.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Brittany, love what the Queen of Denmark is doing. ❤
Your coverage yesterday was delightful!
Aww, thank you so much!!
Thank you Brittany. I found this joyous and emotional, especially seeing Margrethe cry at the end. She was also grieving her younger, healthy self. It is hard accepting getting older and frailer.
It was such fun watching King Frederick and Queen Mary ascend to the throne along with you Brittany, thanks as always for your hard work
You are so welcome!! It was so fun to watch together!
I love this whole video. I love Mary, my favorite Royal. What a beautiful day!
God save the King!
What a stylish group. Love the fashions.
I bet a lot of girls will want to become Denmark’s crown princess with Christian becoming an elegible bachelor now! I can’t wait for his army preparation!
Although I am not Danish, I feel very close to the country Denmark. I spent a beautiful holiday there some years ago. I absolutely loved Copenhagen.
I read a lot about their monarchy and visited castles.
I think Denmark is a beautiful country. I wish the new king and queen,,, all the best.""
How cute was that, him embracing his little baby girl?!? 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Great video Brittany and you are looking particularly lovely today. Love the red blazer! That color really suits you. I loved watching all the emotion on display at the transition in Denmark. The Danish royal family is lovely and human!
Thank you so much!! I always get so many complements when I wear red!!
Yes, the red looks spectacular on Brittany
Looking forward to Queen Mary's first tiara appearance.
Her birthday is in early February. I think the official pictures will be presented then
Such a beautiful family
I rarely can make live streaming on Saturday as this is the day I catch up with life. I enjoy your work.
I love this. I wish we as Americans had more pomp and circumstance in our life. I love that they dress appropriately. God save their King
As a Mom, I think Queen Daisy may have just been emotional seeing her son as King. She may be thrilled to be done and so proud of her son.😊
Queen Margrethe
