SOAD was one of my favorite bands back in the day. Very unique sound (heavy Armenian influence. the whole band are actually descendants of survivors of the Armenian genocide). If you like weird, check out stuff from their first self titled album or the album "Steal this Album". Weird but fun.

@@OhrionReacts no worries. What is your musical background, taste-wise? Hip hop? I've been binging out on reactions the last couple of months, and most of you are either coming from the hip-hop end or the metal end. Or, on occasion, the pop bit.
I did leave one band off my list, because if you've seen literally any Hollywood blockbuster made in the last 30 years or so, I 100% guarantee you've heard them. Especially MCU films: AC/DC. Nonetheless, I'd urge you to react to, or at least look at the official video for Thunderstruck.

@@OhrionReacts Hard Rock? No. AC/DC is Hard Rock. Hard Rock is the most generic label you could give to a band. And System of a down are the opposite of generic. System of a down are alternative metal and experimental, heavy influenced by New Metal, Punk, Thrash Metal, Progressive, psychedelic rock and middle eastern folk music. So you see, it's almost impossible to label them. 😉

Anyway, since you mentioned MIW, I think you should check out the live cover of this song by MIW even if it isn't a reaction. Chris did a really great job singing this on stage. They used to sing covers of bands like Linkin Park and SOAD on stage in the past.

If we analyze the Title "Chop suey" if we know the dish itself, it is a mixture of vegetables, meat, seafood especially squid and shrimp and species, and sometimes fishball is put in there and cornstarch as stew thickener. The song's transition in melodies and the lyrics are all mixed up.

I do have a lot to catch up - legit... Made this channel for that reason. I've hustled and focused on life through my twenties - and in highschool, I didn't listen to a lot of metal (more punk rock ish stuff) couldn't tell ya. I thought it was more like Slipknot. But "back in my times" I used to dig into second hand shops to find everything that could rock out, so-called post-grunge shit or even some Led Zep, Sabbath or fucking Doors albums, back in the late 90's.
