Yikes, thats alot of work to get done!!! good work as always!
Always appreciate how much understanding you have about what you do Austin. Africa recognises your knowledge. Kenya watching. 🇰🇪
It is amazing to watch your work creating unique vehicles. Fantastic job man!
I do know that the 01-04 tacos did have the cancel switch. But other than that, this is unreal. This is something I couldn’t even imagine taking on. Good work
Thanks man! I found out the newer trucks have a different switch
Can't wait to see this build! You do awesome work! 👌
Excellent work big guy but don’t get complacent, finish the clutch cancel switch.
Your welcome
😁
Thanks! I think the newer cancel switch is different! I’m going to pick one up and try again
That’s a lot of mental problem solving 👍
this whole spaghetti is enough for a family of 12! i lost it on the first 2 harness! lol! Great job BTW!
I 5-speed swapped my 99 4runner, I had 2 clutch pedal switches, one was the clutch cancel, and the other was for cruise control, it just shuts cruise off when the clutch is pushed in
Ok that makes sense!
Electrical is by far my greatest weakeness and it stresses me out like crazy hahaha
Im loving this build, because it is my exact truck.
4:55 when we’re you going to show us that new project you have in the back there?! That looks like a mean pink truck there. Excited to see where you go with that😂
I think the " owner " was putting pressure on you in this video to get started on her ride!!
Is it a " motor " swap?
12 to 24 Volts upgrade ( or 36V? )
A lift kit or Wider / Bigger Tires??
Maybe a Sound System???
🤔
I love that you did not edit your beautiful little girl out of the video. Family is all what most of us have and that includes friends that become family.
Wiring is easy if you can read a schematic...it explains what each part is doing ..your best to get each schematic for each vehicle your using parts off of...and make notes on colours etc.. and draw out your new schematic as you wire it....once you see it on paper/ or on screen it is simple to follow or at least realize your mistakes....
And worth the time as your understanding it better...which makes you spend less time scratching your head or blowing fuses! 😉
Yes I did get a diagram for the 04 and i need a different cancel switch!
@@austinniemela
I'm not familiar with the " Cancel Switch " but it will be an " On " or " Off " switch...NC ( Normally Closed ) or NO ( Normally Open ) most likely...
A simple continuity test should figure out if it is ok or defective..
And a schematic will show you what it does in a circuit....
Excited to see the diesel and 4-wheel drive to be out in! How much of a lift are you planning on doing? It's gonna be a great truck once you're done!
Thanks! I’ll do a 3” lift
Nice work as usual!
You should make a tutorial of how to do a Tacoma swap… preferably detailed… god knows the entire Toyota community wants to see this…
Starting to come together. Great video.
U make wiring look so easy 😂 lol good video bro 🤙🏽
Dang dude, I hate waiting for head too!
Big job buddy
Love the built
Great work. Man I love this channel..
Thank you!!
Man I'm surprised you don't use the clutch cancel in the winter. I just start it without getting in and let it warm up for a while.
In Australia the clutch cancel switch is a six pack of VB stubbies!
cLuTch cAnCeLleD,
Great work as always. Greetings from Honduras
Leaving the Prerunner badges? Ultimate sleeper.
I just might
Thanks for sharing your video sir Austin
If I were you I wouldn't keep the battery and alternator leads and size up with heavy welding cable so that if you ever upgrade you have already done the wireing
I hate wiring. What a mess. You should sell complete wiring harnesses. Lol. Nice your little helper showed up!! I should also note, now i have my eye out for a nice yota again.
Maybe the extra wire for the clutch switch has to do with cruise control? Not sure why there would be 2 either.
Turning wrenches I can almost hang with you....but this wiring stuff is making me dizzy!
Oh believe me! Wiring isn’t my favorite thing, I usually end up with a headache haha
hi Austin ! i'm looking for the part T100 pcm and engine harness to swap my 94 Toyota . do you know where i can find and get the parts ? love your video thank you .
Great job. What about the airbags and if it has ABS?
That’s already wired through a separate harness
@@austinniemela ok - I knew you had a plan. I just wanted to hear it, lol. Thank you
Not sure how long ago you filmed this but my 01 and 04 have the clutch cancel switch. It’s a different switch with 4 wires and the text centered vertically. The wire colors differ by year
That might be the issue! The cancel switch I have is a 1996
@@austinniemela the 04 has green and yellow/gray (should be same wires as the neutral safety switch and clutch pedal switch) and white/black ground and black/red power. According to the diagram the whole assembly is a combination of a relay, switch and light. Press the button and the white/black and black/red power the coil and light thus connecting green and yellow/gray
Great video Bro. I like how the build is going. Quick question I noticed you have quite a few VWs around so I take it you are a fan of the VW TDi motors. Any reason why you have not considered fitting a 1KD-FTV to a truck yet? Or if you were to go petrol the 1GR-FE?
I wonder about this too. It seems like a no brainer since it's a Toyota diesel. I remember reading of a company that specialized in Toyota diesel swaps by sourcing the motor from the European market, importing it to America, and swapping it. Supposedly it's a virtual drop in swap and very pricey. I know that takes some fun out of the swap, but maybe makes the sensor and switch juggling a bit easier... Maybe?
Probably parts availability. Those Toyota diesel motors aren’t common in the us but the TDIs are absolutely everywhere.
Cheers 👍
Wiring is most time consuming. I know especially building my LS harness.
red wire with red wire, blue wire with blue wire... and again, again, again 😏 good luck! good job!
I want to race your TDI Toyota in my VW AMAROK TDI 4x4......how bout it ?
How much would you charge to do this on my truck?👀
Wiring stuff gives me a headache. I'm not quite caught up with this build videos. What are you having done to the head?
Well just new guides and seals, and it will be cleaned uo
@@austinniemela Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
do you have a brother named Cameron?! he has a youtube channel about dirtbikes and you guys are so similar! same last name to!
Magnifiquo
Feels like I’m listening to a different language…. Can’t bring myself to skip tho 😮 feel like I’d miss out on something 😵
i have an 90 toyota car that has speed sensors in the cluster AND the trans. Be careful of those Shenanigans
You're blessed
👍👊
Have no idea what the hell you just did but good job anyway.
do you have a wiring diagram for a 01+ tacoma?
No I dont
@@austinniemela i have the Full FSM for a 2003 tacoma. ill email you a link so you can download it if you want
