On the streets, the trackhawk dominates the demon, but on a drag strip the tables turn unbelievably
Not in modified form. There are Trackhawk going low 9's now so not that far off. But on the street both modified and the TH destroys it. A 10.9 TH isnt a fast one at all. A 9.0 Demon is one of the faster ones so not really a fair comparison.

All about the grip out of the hole and incredible close short gearing. The demon had 920hp, the Charger Redeye had 1200 hp and no interior.. That demon at the end in the dark, was ONLY doing barely 128 mph. The charger red eye was in the 151 mph range. There’s a reason a demon can on,y top out at about 148-150. Gearing. Todays redeye was the replacement for the demon.

Seeing that trans am brought back memories. Years ago I had a 2002 WS6 Blackbird and it was ridiculously fast for that time. My wife’s dad had a new GTO which had 400hp/400ft-lbs of torque from the factory and I ran off and left him lol. Of course the blackbird wasn’t anywhere near stock either. I took it to a local drag strip and they told me after my first run not to come back until I had a roll cage installed in it 😂
I didn’t know if it ran under a certain time you were supposed to have a roll cage

@@DragRacingandCarStuff so that tells me it’s not a local policy like I thought it was but it’s a nationwide standard. Probably has something to do with their insurance policy also. That was the only time I ever ran my WS6 on a drag strip.
@@Trackhawk707 Yeah it is a general standard across the board. Definitely insurance, and just safety overall. The rules have changed a bit with newer cars...typically I believe if you have a car 2014 or newer, you can go as quick as 9.0 and up to 150 MPH without a cage or parachute.
@@DragRacingandCarStuff thanks for filling me in. I’m gonna take the Trackhawk some day to see how it does. I think it’s a 10 second car especially with CAI and upgraded supercharger pulleys for more boost.

Hellcat Redeye is a better built charger. Its fast af even on the drag.

It would’ve beat the Redeye if they launched better cause when it went up against the Trackhawk it did a 9 flat and against the Redeye it got like 9.6

Wanna bet? If the demon gets loose on takeoff he’s done for against a Trackhawk. A Trackhawk is AWD and doesn’t spin at all. A demon has too much power for the street. On a prepped track yes the demon will win but it’s a different story on regular asphalt
