Good quality job . I have done it my self usually after someone replace the immo with a used module and don't get the old car vin number . I dont write the eeprom back i just get the pin and finish by obd
But without a working key (like all key lost) you still can not add key with even pin code, there is no ignition so can not add key, correct? So Pin code only need for add key when have one working key, right?
Thank you for showing there is a work around for these situations. Locally to me if you have a good relationship with the parts dept they will give you the pin code from the fca dealer connect site
I know I’m kinda late watching this video but I’m wondering how to program the remote? I can’t find it anywhere and I’m wondering if the only way to program a remote is when you’re writing it using the xp400. The liberty I’m working on has only a regular key with no remote.
I am wondering why you didnt just pull the 4 digit pin with the 608 and do a normal "WCM replaced" programming procedure with witech? They just upped their cost per vin but this would have been way faster/easier with an $80 vehicle sub through mopar. Interested if I am missing something here.
@@globalcommerce7654 You are not charging enough for this if you are taking stuff home to the bench when it can be done in 10 minutes in the vehicle just clicking buttons to offset an OE subscription. I enjoy bench methods when I can bill it at $1500 to save the shop from replacing 3+ modules that will cost double but if I can get a job done with OE software I will always go that route. You clearly know what you are doing but if you are in high demand just get it done fast. On this model the 608 supports WCM replacement and all keys lost via obd, just touch the screen a few times and save the eeprom stuff for when you can charge for it.
@@mint88rx8 most of my videos are showing advanced methods of doing jobs, they are mostly for educational purposes as many of my videos you can't find instructions anywhere, I chose to do this video because it was 5 mins away and took less than 10mins to complete, I believe many subscribers will benefit from it.
To my knowledge, This is the chrysler pacifica system. It is just a few years of about 4 models. There are no tools to pull the pin through the obd. Several videos about this on the arlabs channel using the ar32 (andromeda research). If you are just using a generic chip reader, you can see the pin number on line 17 (marked170). It will be following 1f 0f I beleive (Memory fuzzy). The number will be inverted, a pin of 5618 would be 1856 in the dump file.
Since you are starting with the original that used to work, you might have a skim malfunction rather than a need for new key. How do you decide that reading the pin is the prescription ?
I still got a little lost on this. The original key went into the ignition. You turned it on and got a solid red light which indicate that the key was not programmed to the vehicle. You tested the key, but it did not show any ID number, which would lead me to think that there was an issue with the key as opposed to the transponder ring. Why did you not just do an all kids lost with the virgin key and try to program that through the car, before pulling out the hole immobilizer ring, and taking an account that there was a code for the transponder ring ?
I used that clamp to rear the eeprom but after save the file and try to opened wont work I have to desoldering and use the adapter and rear save the file and opened to get the pin code Idk why wont work with the external clamp
It sounds like the external clamp didn’t work as expected for reading the EEPROM. Sometimes clamps can have connection issues or compatibility problems with certain EEPROMs. Desoldering the EEPROM and using an adapter seems to be a good solution, as it worked for you. If the clamp keeps causing trouble, trying a different one or ensuring a solid connection might help. If you need more help or have other questions, just let me know!

@@BobaKoCafe ok. Please don't take any offense, but for sake of argument, what would you call it if there's no key? And how would you charge for that situation? This just seems more like a spare key situation that you'd have to pull a pin code to program anyway to program.

How do you know under what sub menus to go to For example the st95xxx and st95080?

I can even pull the pin cheaper with other services , I opted for this method because it's a breeze for me and my cost was $0
