A Mini Flashlight is a must!! (or Torch for the Brits.) 😊 Always take one on your vacation. Not only does it help you not bang into furniture in the middle of the night.... It's also a considerate option if you're sharing a room with someone else. You won't have to turn on a light, or wake them up when you fall trying to get to the potty. LOL Get a cheap one at "Dollar Tree". That way if you loose it or forget it, you're only out $1.25 for the flashlight & 30¢ for batteries.
Initally, I was unsure of your decision to leave working in the cruise industry. However, because of your work on cruise ships and a healthy RUclips presence, I now believe you made a good decision. Now you are in charge of your life, have more free time, and can still travel as a tourist on any ship and itinery you choose, all while producing RUclips posts. Really, what could be better for you...all while building a business and earning from it.
New Year? Are you capable of time travel? I'm watching this on the evening of the 29th of December. I also checked the date/ time to see if it was an old video that had been reposted or had just popped up in my RUclips feed.
Lovely, just lovely. Lucy is a beautiful, brilliant and an encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to cruising. I always book the specialty restaurants as soon as I get on board. Her eyes are hypnotizing, gorgeous as can be, which is why I cannot look at the screen or else I won't know what she is saying. I can listen to that wonderful accent all day. Another great video
Airplane mode isn't just for flying and cruises. I just got back a week ago from a week in St Thomas. One of the days we did a catamaran excursion that went to a couple of snorkel spots, but was entirely within USVI, but somehow my phone pinged a tower from BVI at some point and I got a message about being international. I didn't check the bill yet, but that single ping is probably going to cost $10.
Yes, probably not getting on a cruise ship this year, gotta see how bad the US economy is going to get under the new Oligarchy. But, I will be in the Caribbean for most of the year! Safe travels Lucy!
All good advice Lucy. In October 2023 I cruised from Southampton on the MSC Virtuosa - the trip was to France & Spain. As the time in these countries is 1 hour ahead of the UK so the ship's time was set to match - set watches, phones etc 1 hour forwards on boarding. The ship's onboard currency was in Sterling (my home currency) so there was no foreign exchange credit card fee to worry about, but I still used my card that does not charge the usual 2.99% for this type of transaction. As soon as boarded I booked slots for the Thermal Area and pre-paid for shows to ensure my first choice times were still available, but I kept flexibility and left the free shows & activities until nearer the time. Telephone usage - ah, a problems. Soon after leaving port on one day I received an urgent work call, happy to speak, just a shame I had not realsied the connection moved from a land based the ship's sea connection, that call cost over £20.00. I could see land whilst talking, such a shame! Finally, my wife loves to use the casino, I suggest everyone should keep a close watch on spend, remember the house always wins!!
RCCL Oasis Class ships have offered WiFi that had good performance, even for HD video streaming. With Starlink, many other lines/ships now do. Otherwise, good and accurate content.
Like that woman who needed a Benadryl on a RC ship and the medical center tried to charge her $390 for one pill. She instead went around asking other passengers until she found someone who gave her one.
You must have dropped this video early, I'm still in 2024, Happy New Year and if you really are from the future, please PM me some winning lottery numbers.
Good to see you and happy new year! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
VERY helpful. I've been watching crusing videos for weeks and this was the most informative yet.

That was for a doctors visit, not for 1 pill 🤡
I demagnetized my card several times. My wallet had a magnetic closure. I had to separate them
We pack 1/2 of carryon of drugs and bandaids etc
