    I like how you get right to the watch the others spend 5minutes opening the fedex box, then discuss all sides of the watch box, then the paper work all while wearing gloves. You get right to the watch thats why im here.

    All praise the 4 micro-adjustment points! The minimum number, imho. Really great looking watch and great looking bracelet, too. Nice to see them divert from homages

    I think it has one of the most atractive blues out there, and the optical illusion of a domed dial is really outstanding and remarkable different. I also like this vintage/modern mix style.

    I can always rely on the likes of yourself Dave, Shane and Jody to introduce me to great watches from brands I wouldn't have known. The only downside is that I then want to buy yet another watch.

    I totally agree with you Dave, those Tudor B/B hands look ridiculous. Looks like they were designed by a10 year old! These look great. Nice watch this. Unlike the bronze, this s/s is much harder, bronze scratches very easily.

    I have a complaint which is both minor and pretty obvious: They should have either made the seconds hand red or the triangle on the bezel orange to have less colours over all.

    Another great review. Enjoy the way you get straight to the watch, no hemming and hawing around. I bought the same watch BUT with the Swiss SW200 movt. and that is my biggest complaint. I LOVE EVERYTHING about this watch except for my two cons.
    1. I've owned and sized hundreds of split pin equipped bracelets and have been at this hobby for quite a few years and have NEVER experienced an issue with split pins, so the additional security afforded by the pin & collar system is moot to me. I hate pin & collar!
    2. My "800 pound gorilla in the room" problem is (and I understand it's probably a little bit of a cost saving for the manufacturer) the fact that the Swiss version when on wrist is indistinguishable from the NH35 version. I really wish Aquatico would have used a separate dial with "Swiss @ the 6" to denote the difference. (Thank goodness for the exhibition case-back to remind me I paid extra for Swissness)

    • @JusttheWatch
      @JusttheWatch  3 года назад

      The SW200 also has a higher beat rate with a smoother sleeping second hand, that should also remind you that you got the better movement inside!

    • @DarthPlaya
      @DarthPlaya 3 года назад

      @@JusttheWatch Thanks and appreciation for your reply. I don't know much about a smoother 'sleeping' second hand but I've been told that the higher beat rate movement's seconds hand 'sweep' is smoother. XD
      Unfortunately I am one of those that can not visibly see the difference between the 28,800's and 21,600's sweeping motion on my watches.
      (Sorry, ... I couldn't help ribbing you about the typo)

    I spotted a couple different colors of this version over on ebay and a few had the Tudor snow flakes hands, and the lum was blue versus the green on this. And I want blue lum. But can't stand the snowflakes 😪. Really nice watch though. Thanks for the great review

  • @ozludo

    Nice video Dave. This is a good format. Although: I might have missed it somewhere; but how accurate is the timekeeping? 2 days isn't a lot, but you can get a basic idea (not sure if you have a timegrapher).
    I have nearly bought several Aquatico, but never pulled the trigger. In this instance the clasp and ghost date are both disappointing. For $449 they have an SW200 version which might be a better deal after 10% discount. It's also still possible to get snowflake hands, but only with the NH35. Interestingly, they have recently started to offer versions of the bronze Sea Star with a black dial and either green or blue bezels - the black/blue combo looks pretty cool. Aquatico also offer an iso-style rubber strap which I do have experience with and it is very good. Worth adding to an order, even if it might not be the best fit for this watch.
    I think I've just persuaded myself to ask Aquatico if they'll sell a version of the SS2 with the SW200 and mixed colour bezels. I'll tell them you sent me :-)

    • @JusttheWatch
      @JusttheWatch  3 года назад

      I haven't done any accuracy testing on it. Probably should but I've done so many NH35s that unless the company is doing their own regulation, I don't really expect it to perform any different than the other NH35s I've tested.

    • @ozludo
      @ozludo 3 года назад +1

      @@JusttheWatch fair enough: "+8s/day" gets repetitive. But good news - Calvin at Aquatico was happy to put a blue bezel on a black SS2, and I have one coming today :-)

    They also have a more expensive version with the Selita Sw200 movement. I only wished 2 things: 1st that it was 40mm case and 2nd that this had the date complication, im so used to have it on my watches that its hard to go back.. But i do understand that it hould maybe no look as good with it..

    Like your vids , but in this one you're using the hammer the wrong way round ! use the metal end when removing links, the soft end's for pushing them back in, bracelet changing is a necessay evil, extra fun if you've pin & collar to deal with !

    This reminds me more of a contemporary Christopher Ward than a vintage diver. Except for the red triangle. That's strangely vintage.
    But if it was truly vintage, it would have single minute markers on the first 20 minutes of the bezel.
    I'm chewing on this one, but I'm more looking for a vintage style military diver with minute markers for all 60 minutes, and preferably sword hands, since I use my bezel for timing this vs all the time.
