    Situation 1:
    The idealized model for a suspension bridge is shown. The trusses are pin connected at F, on hinged support at A and on roller support at B. The parabolic cable is supported on towers at AD and at BC.
    Given: P1 = 250 kN, P2 = 140 kN, P3 = 145 kN
    a = 3.2 m, b = 3 m, c = 4 m
    1. Calculate the tension (kN) in cable at mid-length, E where the slope is zero.
    2. Calculate the vertical reaction at the pin F, in kN.
    3. Calculate the maximum tension in the cable, in kN.
