I have had an Apple Watch 5 for over a year and have been happy with it. I know realise it can do a ton more things than I thought, e.g. configure new watch face with 8 complications to do all sorts including starting Strava. I will now use the watch instead of my Wahoo Elemnt for normal day to day stuff. Well done on the fantastic video that will help save a lot of time!
Bluetooth support for wireless cycling cadence and power meter sensors is the only issue for me with the Watch. It's easy use, recording HR and logging distance and course (strava). But, Strava took BT sensor support out and the Cyclemeter app requires you to connect through your phone. The Watch is great for quick workout dashes. I like not carrying my phone.
Robert W. nothing easy. You need ant+ for that. There are some workarounds using combination of apps, but if you want more metrics you’re better off going with a cycling computer probably.
Bruce Balestier you can see your speed on the strava app just like any other gps based cycling computer. You just have to take your hand off the bars to see it 😀
Hey I wear long gloves at bike - whole year. I guess, that it's not possible to control Apple Watch with gloves isn't it? According your notes in video.

I use it for cycling and works great. Apple Watch 6, distance, bpm, calories, average speed, gps tracking, altitude, etc.
I too am parting ways with my fenix after 3 years.
Awesome video! Thanks for the detailed review.
So,.., not a review on Apple Watch and cycling.
Can you connect the Apple Watch with the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt?
Great review! Do you know if the Apple Watch connects to speed and cadence sensors?
Thuthukani Ndlovu I haven’t found a way to do that!
How to use phone gps while cycling insted of watch gps to save battery and record 6,7 hours cycling workout.
Can you connect 3rd party sensors to the Apple watch such as cadence and speed sensors?

Interesting points, thanks. Did you use the Strava app for cycling all the time or did you sue the apple outdoor cycle app as well?
Edgar Perez I’ve only ever used the Strava app.
Anymore details about cycling speedometer?

@@bensnyder2057 Thank you...
I just got a Polar Vantage V so far I hate it, not user friendly at all...

They make gloves that are conductive or have conductive tips so you can use touch screen devices.
