Part of poker is trying to play the mental game, this could end up being a savvy plus EV move for future heads-up matches against Garrett.

On a completely unrelated topic, I got blasted by a player for "slow rolling". Defended my SB with 55s. Flopped KQ5. Check, BB bet out huge, pre-flop raiser at CO called. I flatted. Turned another 5. Checked, BB bet out massive again, CO folded.
Maybe I should've checked how much I had behind as I went along. But, I wasn't sure exactly how much I had behind. I counted my chips while I figured out whether flatting and let him hang himself or going all-in would be a better option. Our stack differences weren't very clear at a glance.
I ended up having just $100 less than the BB, so I just said, "You got me covered. I'm all-in".
River was inconsequential, I showed my hand, he folded whatever he had.
His immediate question, after seeing my quads was, "Is this your first time playing?". I looked back at him with "What kind of a dumb f*** question is that?". Then, he proceeded to lecture me with "That was a slow roll". I was like, "No MOFO (without the MOFO part). I wasn't slow rolling". At the time, I was so taken aback, I couldn't think of explaining him the reason as to why I was tanking on the turn...neither did I feel that I needed to.
Then, he started to enlist everyone at the table, including the dealer how I slow rolled him.
A few, who understood what I was doing on the turn, tried to calm the dude down and explained on my behalf on why I wasn't slow rolling.
Certainly, a very interesting experience it was.

I'm more confused by Garrett's bet on the river. There really aren't any weaker hands that would call his bet in that situation and there really aren't any stronger hands that he can scare off. It's unlikely that anyone would have checked a queen or pocket jacks to the river like that. The only way he really gets paid-off is if someone with a mid-ranged pocket pair calls... but even then it's hard to imagine them checking the turn.
There really isn't any upside to betting $20,000.
