I wish that they'd included Peeves the Poltergeist in the movies. He'd have been a fun addition, and would have been apparently played by Rik Mayall. But I suppose that they could only include so many elements.
I was thinking yesterday about a verison of Old Maid with the movies, but instead the Old Maid was Peeves because he wasn't in the movies. And no one liked him at Hogwarts.
In the book it cuts to when Hermione has solved it. If they didn't even want to show it in the book I doubt watching Hermoine think of the solution would be interesting in the movie. I would have liked to see them walk past the huge knocked out troll though. That shows that whatever Harry is about to face is strong enough to defeat a larger version of something he fought earlier in the movie. It wouldn't have even taken up much screen time.
I hope you can do the rest of the series as well! I loved watching MovieFlame's series of comparing every difference between the Harry Potter books and movies.
I'd love it if The Sorting Hat song was in the film. It'd be quite entertaining ☺️ Also, seeing the Hogwarts alma mater song sung in Goblet of Fire would, too. They do in a deleted scene
I can agree with the movie in Kings Cross cause the Dursleys wouldn't allow Harry to go. They would've done all they can to stop him. So only just imagining, maybe Harry and Hagrid spent the month of August together at the Leakey Cauldron's inn.
In the extended edition, Harry mentioned first hearing Nicholas Flammel's name on the back of the Dumbledore collector's card from the chocolate frog while on the Hogwarts Express.
You all should make this a series XD. Top 10 Differences between the Harry Potter Movies and Harry Potter books. I would watch it XD. There are tons of forgotten good stuff that were in the books that were not in the movies. Best example aside from Peeves? Winky in Goblet of Fire. Or Harry and Hermione's fight in Prisoner of Askaban. Loads of stuff that could make this a series XD. Either way greater video
I remember how the Devil’s Snare, being a plant, was exterminated when they used Incendio in the book and games. Obviously, they couldn’t have a real kid playing with fire. Within the trials, there was also a troll they had to deal with, much like the one that destroyed the bathroom, but that sequence was also cut. Speaking on Peeves, his exclusion also tied to some other moments left out. From playing the GBC game, I remember how there was the History of Magic course (left out of the films altogether), and Harry got hit by some prank courtesy of Peeves, leaving him with a strange illness. He searched for a book with the cure when it was not in the library, and Peeves gave Harry a riddle to find it. And during Christmas, the very gift of the Invisibility Cloak was stolen by Peeves, leading to Harry scurrying to get it back. I hate to admit that I haven’t read the books, but thanks to the games among various other sources, I’m picking up various plot threads and details and am surprised by their exclusion in the films. I suppose Hollywood would tell us to adapt every single detail would stretch the run times close to 5 hours minimum, making for a commitment of a viewing experience, and extremely high production costs.
Yes, and Vernon seeing the wizards out and about. Hearing Harry’s name. I guess if they had everything the book did, the movie would be more like 5 hours long!
I just realized, I'd probably want to wreck the Mirror of Erised if I ever found it. It'd probably show me as if I was getting to study a living herd of Triceratops and I'd be so distressed at how futile it would be for that to happen that I'd try to throw the mirror somehow. Or at least punch it. Because if I didn't do any of that, I'd be very susceptible to sitting in front of it just for Triceratops... and I would have tears in my eyes.
Emma Watson as a child looks almost exactly as described in the books. They’re not cloying to recast her simply because she grows into a beautiful young woman
Ya'll think Harry has had to deal with death and loss at a far younger age than most... Me, someone who started losing pets and relatives by the time I could walk: wuuuuuuuuuut
I'm not particularly sad about it either, this way I get to keep the image of Peeves I have in my own mind. I feel like it would've been really easy to end up ruining his character in the movies.
Despite the differences, I will love both the Harry Potter books and films forever
I wish that they'd included Peeves the Poltergeist in the movies. He'd have been a fun addition, and would have been apparently played by Rik Mayall. But I suppose that they could only include so many elements.
And let's not forget his big moment in Order of the Phoenix
I was thinking yesterday about a verison of Old Maid with the movies, but instead the Old Maid was Peeves because he wasn't in the movies. And no one liked him at Hogwarts.
They filmed his scenes
@@makaio9578Yeah, but they all ended up on the cutting room floor.
I reread the book a couple years ago and I totally forgot that Peeves existed.
I wish we'd seen the potion trial in the first movie. I think it would've been cool to see the multicolored flames.
Agreed! I was so disappointed when it wasn’t included. I could’ve sworn I saw it as a deleted scene somewhere, but I must have dreamt it.

Alma mater, not anthem.
I really hope we get one for each movie/book😫❤️
Peeves so deserved to be in the movies. Your honorable mention of Tom Riddle was from Chamber of Secrets not Philosopher's Stone/Sorcerer's Stone.
Hagrid first mentioned he was expelled in Sorcerer's Stone book but with the movies we didn't find that out until Chamber of Secrets.
I can agree with the movie in Kings Cross cause the Dursleys wouldn't allow Harry to go. They would've done all they can to stop him. So only just imagining, maybe Harry and Hagrid spent the month of August together at the Leakey Cauldron's inn.
the Dursleys took Dudley to a private hospital in London to have the tail surgically removed before he went to Smeltings.
In the extended edition, Harry mentioned first hearing Nicholas Flammel's name on the back of the Dumbledore collector's card from the chocolate frog while on the Hogwarts Express.
Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets the second movie is turning 20 years old this year
Also, Harry casting any spell would’ve been an awesome inclusion 😂

The potion puzzle is part of the PC game I played . I would like to see more of these .
I remember that puzzle. At the end, the vials were moving so fast that I died several times.
Can you do the differences between Harry Potter and the book for all 7?

I am sorry to tell you this, but the scenes you describe with Peeves, they were not in the books, they are just made up for the game.
A cut of the first movie that includes Peeves?! :D YES PLEAAAAASSSSSE!!!!!!!!
if your able to find more of these clips/parts, part 2 please and thank you for listening to my request
A difference video on eaxch movie, much better than just one list for 8 movies,
Thanks for calling it philosopher's Stone not sorcerer's Stone
The book was great and the movie tried very hard to live up to it. Didn’t do too bad either
Love it 😊💓💯
Is always hard to choose which elements stays and not
I hope they plan on doing this for every book
i'm missing the Dursley day before baby harry is dropped off

What's the problem with the msmojo site? everytime i sign in it keeps redirecting me to the homepage
They picked the right Peeves🌠
Wow, the lady really mispronounced Rik Mayall's name wrong! 🤣
Still a relatively faithful adaptation.
rest in peace Hagrid AKA Robbie Coltrane. 😭😭😭

Can you please make a video of the worst high schools in teen drama shows
You forgot the most obvious one: Herminey was homely in the book, not a cute and beautiful child like in the movie.
Emma Watson as a child looks almost exactly as described in the books. They’re not cloying to recast her simply because she grows into a beautiful young woman
Not going to*
@@Tra5h_boat6368 She's not as fat as described in the book.
@@rluv4evr she was never described as fat in the book
The sorcerer's stone
54. Points. Julie. 😊🎉❤gryffindor. Hogwarts house 🏡
The movie cut out too much plot point so the story was all over the place
Compared to the later ones, not really.
It's pronounced "May-all".
Am I the only one that missed Nick's deathday party
Ya'll think Harry has had to deal with death and loss at a far younger age than most...
Me, someone who started losing pets and relatives by the time I could walk: wuuuuuuuuuut
How on earth did you narrow it down to only 10 things the movie changed (screwed up) from the book?
Still much better than fantastic beast
7th!
Didn't we just have this list?
That list was of the things the FB movies changed from Harry Potter.
cool
Let me guess they’re going to do the exact same video but for each of the other books
I'd hope so!
The only real difference is that the movie omitted certain things.
Got. . To. Ginny. Weasley. Mrs. Mrs. Julie
excluding things like harrys eye colour but honorable mention to dudley and petunias hair colour?
❤
Unpopular opinion: I’m happy Peeves wasn’t in the movies.
I'm not particularly sad about it either, this way I get to keep the image of Peeves I have in my own mind. I feel like it would've been really easy to end up ruining his character in the movies.
@@inkeriananas exactly! I just truly don’t think he would’ve translated well in the movies overall
@@inkeriananas I believe that's why the scene that was filmed with Peeves was cut: because the director didn't like the way he looked.
