I made sure everything matched on my 67 289 build.
I ported and polished the heads, just a bit bigger on valves. I could've bought heads but I wanted the experience of porting. Worked out great, the shop that did my valves was very impressed. They offered me a job! Lol
Any way... Small Voodoo cam and intake to match the rpm range.
Runs great!
However I would like to EFI the 289 and put in a little more cam.

Thanks for sharing your cylinder head jrecommendation. What cam, or cams, would you recommend for a 302 motor build. Would you recommend stroking it, to increase low end torque? I'm getting ready to start rebuilding the engine on my 76 Bronco and have been doing a lot of research, and the AFR heads look like they will be a really good fit. Now to nail down which cam will best suit my needs...
What would be the perfect engine to replace in my 1993 Eddie Bauer?
