- Concerns grow about Father Jack after it is discovered he has drunk an entire bottle of floor polish.
Beloved sitcom focused on three priests living on Craggy Island, a remote island off the west coast of Ireland. Father Ted Crilly is sent to the island as punishment for using charitable funds for a holiday in Las Vegas, but his true punishment comes in the form of Father Dougal Maguire and Jack Hackett, one a fresh-faced naive young priest, and the other a foul-mouthed, rage-filled alcoholic. Mrs Doyle is their nosy housekeeper, who makes plentiful pots of tea and never takes `no' for an answer. Despite their isolation, the priests get into their fair share of mildly sinful, entirely madcap adventures.

"So, you're a nun." - Dougal busting moves
"we'll see him in the after-life"
"oh, yeeeesh SUUURRRRE".
Some real quality lines in this program.
Lol he started mentioning Italian football players when he started praying in 'Latin'. Costacurta, Roberto Baggio...HAHAH
That was good. Bad Latin is always funny.

started watching this show two days ago. I'm so hooked, it's crazy! I Can't get enough. thanks for the upload.
You're welcome, we've got plenty more amazing British comedy coming soon.
Better late than never.
@@AbsoluteJokes Irish comedy 😉
Please tell me you are joking Dead Parrot? This is Irish. Couldn't be anymore Irish.

I nearly choked at "Ted says you were touching him"
"a woman's touch"
Hahahaah same
21:18 I really love those little clips of Father Ted living it up at the disco and casino.
Now you know why he was exiled to Craggy Isle. 😞
I use to watch this show on a school night! Great times! RIP Dermot Morgan. 🌹💖
You forget that father jack has fallowed his mate into the comedian paradise
Sister Monica's accent is unbelievably lovely
Dougal’s last rites for Father Jack! Feckin hilarious! 🤣
I bet when father jack has took off for the comedian's paradise , has made the same

@@MrPrius-fy1sc Oooh. So Ted has to phrase it that way because otherwise Dougal won’t even begin to understand.
"Sure, I wouldn't know. I'm from Donnegal!"
That line cracks me up every time!
“Reservoir Dogs ... It’s probably not as violent as the ones you usually like, but give it a go.” 😝

I thought that the Irish are very serious and over the top devoted Catholics:)) I'm glad that I was mistaken, these series prove the fact! The Irish humor is really great!
The Irish can laugh at themselves, not like the pious Polish. 🤐
I'm Polish and of course Roman Catholic and I think this is hilarious.
Of course it is. Anything that has to do with religion is hilarious. Except when they protest against abortion, homosexual, and women rights, and when they get subsidised by the government for their great work at making our kids think like zombies.
Funny is funny, man
@@dddux yeah because fuck protesting murder, insanity, and "equality", am I right? Miss me with that sensible shit, we do things the L O O N Y way in this hood
@Billy McBecky you're mental 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Billy McBecky I'm not arguing your point. It's just mental to go on a rant about China on a Fr. Ted thread. Although they did do a great episode on the Chinese 🤣🤣
"Shut the feck up" LOL
"Being of sound mind and body..."
*sneeeerkk*
Father Jack just reminds me so much of me grandfather. Sure he wasn't Irish, or a drinker, or a priest, or even Catholic. But it's like seeing him all over again.
So your grandfather was devoid of all of Father Jack's best traits?
@@dddux Not necessarily; she didn't say her grandfather didn't bark "Feck!" and "Gurls!" every few moments.

You all Americans I’m welsh and I had to use a VPN to watch this
Father Doughal reminds me of my aunty.. although she isnt Irish, a Priest, a male, funny or indeed alive..
"You'd know all about that Ted"
what?!
"You know when you're baptising them, the babies"
I would have made the appropriate responses to that but My Art Page and Jacob M were ahead of me. Well done. ; )
Every episode is nuts and a total a hoot. I've seen every one of them a few times and they are always hilarious. So many great lines....Brilliant.
The chess game with the punch is brilliant.
I'll never tire of this.
"Reservoir Dogs" *and* Salem's Lot? XDDDDD Thanks for posting this, this was a riot! Especially when Doogle feinted.
All it took was a James Joyce quotation to bring Jack back from "the dead" LOL!
21:40 is a reference to James Joyce's "The Dead".
Snuggles McSquishbottom : Actually, it’s a direct quote from “The Dead”- a story every Irish person has probably read.
@@censusgary it's styled very heavily on the John Huston film adaptation, so I really think a lot of people would be getting the association that way. As much as I like to believe in literacy, I think they were very careful to mimic the performance of the late great Donal McCann.
@@censusgary well I’ve never heard of it.
Hi i recently started watching the series. Man is it great. I really love his flashback when he is talking about how he didnt approve the new thinking in church.
" ah come on ted your making it to easy for me, I'm not an idgit you know". Funniest game of charades ever. Brilliant comedy right there.
Funny each time I watch this love this episode and love it when father Jack says SHUT THE FECK UP! Lol lol lol lol
Great actors and a hilarious script .
"First priest to denounce the Beatles. He could see what they were up to."
I just can’t believe how much detail they put into each episode,I don’t believe it.
I hadn't even heard of this show, and i stumbled upon it. It's great, and crazy addictive.
Thanks dead parrot
Ted is so incredibly likeable in spite of his many character
flaws. The other characters… I haven’t quite warmed up to.
Thank you sir/madam for uploading episodes.

He could’ve been pope...but the feckin Jesuits had it all tied up!
i am dying, they just dont make comedies like this one these days
It would be a bit outdated for 2020. You'd want to modernise the setting, but it doesn't matter anyway cause apparently people like garbage like Bachelor, married at first sight or strictly come dancing
Thanks so much for posting.
“It’s a very different film. It’s a different shark!!!!”
you Irish done a good thing here
Father Ted (1995) 22:20 "So, there he is. Risen from the dead, like... that fella... E.T.
Reverend Lovejoy (1997, 'The Springfield Files' episode): " I remember another gentle visitor from the heavens. He came in peace, and then died... only to come back to life. And his name was: E.T., the extra-terrestrial. I love that little guy."
And yay he extended his long finger. And he said unto them "Be good".
Absolutely fantastic.... THANKYOU :)
We'll never know why Jack was held in such high regard by other older priests, but we can guess that they were celebrating when it turned out that he actually wasn't dead.
I asked them and they said that indeed was the case. They were celebrating 🍾
😂😂💜 The Charades
Thanks a million for this show I love it!

7:49 I live in Finland and one of my oldest friends looks a bit like Wesley Snipes. I wonder if he ever surprises people like that. :'D
Do they regularly ask him about his vampire kill count? If not, they should.
"Feckin' Jesuits!" 😂😇

Oh, Yeah. Father Dougal. 😆

My favorite part of the entire episode
I remember when I wached it the first time I was scared as hell when this scene came and he stood there with his burial shroud. But now I love this scene 😂😂😂😂😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 the Dougal part after that is pure gold, because he doesn't realize that Jack is suppose to be dead. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 at 22:12 you can see for a half a second,, that Jack has to refrain really hard from laughing. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 and at 21:55 you can hear Jack getting out of the coffin. But you can tell, because when you stop at 21:56, the coffin is empty 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Ironically, in real life, Frank Kelly out lived Dermot Morgan... Frank died in 2016 and Dermot died in 1998.
Basically because of overwork due to filming this show.
Weirdly they both died on the same day, though; 28th February.
