    1. Immerse yourself in the language (speaking, listenig)
    2. Repeat dialogues from a movie/video loudly
    3. Take notes from a video, then try to summarize it

Brother , I've also applied most of these myself automatically while learning German and French, except for watching Netflix without subtitles. Outcome is extremely surprising. Most genuine video ❤️

Great video!! I am Indian-American, so I can understand how hard it was for you to learn German. I learned Spanish to the B2 level. I love the Easy Spanish channel here on You Tube. They interview people on the streets, it's fun to watch! I played the videos on .75 speed and repeated what they said, just as you mentioned here. They have an Easy German channel too!

    Summery:
    1) Don’t get discouraged making mistakes. Without mistakes no gain.
    2) Use your learning time well. Time is the key to learn fast. Either you get paid learning the language or you have economical support so you can concentrate just to learn the language every day. For you ones having other jobs and families tough call.
For ordinary people 8 years, not months, is a more realistic timeframe to reach C1 from nothing.

The second point is not even the summary from my video, I didn't say anything like that. Although you are right. If you have to learn it on parallel to other work or so, it will be much more slower

I am enrolled to German A1 - B2 learning. I am good with languages and since German is linguistically closer to English, being a student of literature I may grasp it well. But honestly your tips are helpful in real world as its a foreign language at the end of the day and if you don't keep practice you may forget 😢

I have learned Czech langauge in 6 months. I did not use any tips. Only there was one tip and it was me myself. I did not Feel Boring in Learning. The more you eat the language , the more you become fatty with language. .DID you feel Boring in Learning? DO you have enough ENERGY to enjoy unknown knowledge, Do you have skills to focus on challenge? If your mind is tired and burden with stresses and the past then you will not develop new skills, so your passion will be very short lived because it is not ignited by your own inner fire but by the jealousy, demand, greed and pressure of the atmosphere.
I have crave for knowledge and learning, I have persistency and energy to stay focused and remain attentive. I did not feel BORING in learning , so if it is some topic like gardening, mechanic, forestry, cooking, astronomy, space, any topic but I read and it enriched my vocabulary So I read this language and translated everthing even not from Czech to English but from mother tongue to Czech language. I used my local newspapers and local stories into czech languages because these topics and subjects are familiar to me. and easy to grasp.
In short Work on yourself and develop skills. Be in Present then you will learn like a child.

That was an amazing video. And I want to say, although I'm not learning German, I'm still learning English language for my career. And this video has just popped out in my feed, RUclips feed. And I'm going to say that your points were correct. And I agree with all of that. So, for example, I'm taking your summarizing video technique. When we want to watch a video in a target language, we have to listen, we have to note taking, we have to summarize the video. I mean, it's not about how we're just listening, it's how we're learning, right? And we have to note taking, and in the end of the video, we will summarize the video. So, improve listening and writing. So, it's a good idea to improve your language. I mean, how to improve your targeted language learning. And then we can try to speak about your writing in other words. So, maybe it's like a complicated flow of work. But I'm pretty sure it's an active learning one. So, you invest that time a little, but I think because you will be able to speak fluently in your targeted language.
*note this was recorded in ChatGPT, I was speaking and the ChatGPT convert this into text. As you said, we are learning and don't scared making mistake. So that, there are few mistakes.

Changing the language can be helpful to some extend and make you learn some new words, but won't be a gamechanger, these things just give you a false feeling of having done something productive without having done so. I think you can change the language for some days and when you feel that you have learnt all the words it had to offer, you can change back to the language of your comfort and save your mental energy for real learning :)
