I hope you will find the video interesting and that it gave you the right motvation to keep learning German, or in general, a foreign language.
Love you,

Thank you so much for all the love and interesting comments and life experiences you are sharing under the video. It warms my heart
Thankyou for making this and sharing your experience!
@*😎* I believe it is sufficient, you can study all by yourself but you need someone who corrects your pronunciation eventually..
Dont know if anyone cares but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my gf these days =)
@Bryson Denver yea, I've been using InstaFlixxer for since december myself =)
pls am very new to german what is the sequence to follow as a parten to follow in learning
. i dnt know where to start and the method to follow
"To have a second language is to have a second soul" that's fucking gold!
I believe Charlemagne is the origin of the quote lol
Edit: omg nvm she literally said it in the video 😖
I already know 3 , now i want to learn german as my 4th language
In India we normally learn 3 languages in school.
I already know 3 languages now I have to learn 4 more languages to be a cat lol

Learning german has been an humillity lection about learning and perseverance. Even when I've been taking private lessons with a native teacher, it has been hard. The key is to not loss motivation, but that's tricky when you are not studying enough and the time passes on.
What a beautiful message, my friend. Thanks for sharing 🥰🥰
You "learn" German in about 3-4 years. When someone says 6 months or less, don't believe 💩.
-A polyglot
It's definitely hardest to get started with a language. As soon as you start understanding a good percentage of the sentences you can then turn everything into practice. Switch your phone language, switch your video game language, read in the new language, watch movies in the new language... It takes way less motivation to read a good book for two hours than it does to really study for one hour.
I've changed my phone language to German. I'm learning through RUclips and songs. Thank God for icons.
@@therichchronicles1249 Very good, my friend. I hope you can learn it easily. I believe in you. Good luck

I enjoy your sincerity, Ros. Thank you for doing this video.
Thank you, great pointers ... but I'd like to say: If you study level A1 and A2 thoroughly , not jump ahead, review everything. It's 2 thick books with workbook with excercises. Then you will likely not struggle by the time you come to B1. Because there is A LOT of information in what you think is in lower levels and it BUILDS ON! Just being patient with yourself abd take your time!
Absolutely amazing content of this video :) I like the attitude of approaching a big task by breaking it into digestible pieces and then tackling each of them.
I totally agree with you, my friend
So useful. A must-watch for beginners and even intermediate !!! Sending good vibes from France ! :)

I will try getting a lesson book as you suggested. You speak so wonderfully and from the heart. I appreciate your candor. And that was a beautiful quote. Danke schön.

I really like learning new languages but for the last 4 or 5 years (when i was in university) I couldn't just choose one language to learn, for 3-4 months I've tried learnins Spanish and I quit but even though it's passed like 2 years i could still understand some things in Spanish, for a period of time i've tried learning Russian and French and they shared the same fate with Spanish but now i've really decided that the language i want to learn at this point in my life is German, the main problem I have is motivation, seeing people like you gives me the energy i need to study on a daily basis. Its been a few weeks, i hope i just continue forward without worrying other things and keep myself focused on this with other things going on in my life. I just wanted to thank you for the video and share a few things with you. Maybe a year later i could come back to see this message as an another soul :)

Good job and Well done !
Thx for ur sharing, Ros. I keep learning online German by app nearly a month, it's so hard especially the pronounciation but i will keep it 'Alles Anfang ist schwer'.
Which app are you using?
I learned German long time ago.
It took me 4 years to speak German pretty well, until the native speakers said to me : Du sprichst schon gut Deutsch...
German is not a difficult language.
French is even more diffocult; they have 8 tenses compared to German only 3, like English.
Russian is even worse.
I started to learn German in 1990, and got a certificate the same level with B1 in December 1993, ZDaF : Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache, after I had taken EF Summer Course in Munich in August 1993.
Many Italians, French, and French-speaking Swiss-Canton learned German that day.
My roommates were Italians, but I was not interested to learn Italian.
I've been to Milan / Milano, only for several hours from morning to afternoon.
I took a train that day..
I got a certificate equals B2 the next year, Mittelstuffe-1 Zertifikat.
I used Johannes Schumman : Mittelstuffe Deutsch, until chapter 5 or 6, not finished, but after that, my class used newspapers and magazine articles..
Now my German deteriorates.
I can only answer B1 level, but I can still understand in general DW channel.
Now I learn Chinese.
Ich bin schon mehr als 50 Jahre alt.
Auf Wiedersehen....
Very great, my friend ❤❤

how it is going
I am now going to take my b2 exam this year. I really love languages. German as my 5th language, its pretty much easier compare to japanese one. Ilocano(my mother tongue, condisered as dialect in the philippines but it is a language.) Tagalog, english, nihongo, and deutsch. For me, my advantage for german learning is by talking with the local people here in deutschland. First, build your vocabulary. If you dont have anyone to talk to, talk to deepl or google translate and try to write something in german and the translator will do the job for you if its correct one or not. Actually, watching netflix did not help me at all,not until i passed my b1 which you can understand SOME. B1 is just the beginning. This video will help you keep you motivated and we have similar Almost experienced to learn the german. Its just i learned and passed the b1 in less that 5 months. But keep in mind, all I did was learning every single day and talk to people.
Wow! Thank you for sharing your story❤️❤️
