One thing I noted when Silver was teaching the Silver Bullet was the disconnect between his lines and what was shown. Silver, like you, demonstrated a vertical secondary knuckle fist at the solar plexus. But he described a secondary knuckle between the ribs. That would have done tissue and organ damage instead of just stunning an opponent's ability to breathe. I think that the producers probably went with this version to prevent being chargeable for showing a potentially lethal move that kids could imitate without knowing the depth of the risks.

It is a rare technique I have only seen in the curricullum of a few Karate or Kung Fu styles. Most US based schools wouldn't teach it for either liability issues or toning down training curriculums from what's taught in Asia to be more "civilized" or "family friendly". And MMA schools may excel in conditioning but they don't nearly deep enough into technique development for something like this move.
once a friend of mine did this "Silver bullet" to me twice and boy did it take my breath away. I struggled to breathe for a good 1 minute. The dangerous part is that if you try to breathe through your mouth you feel your breath getting stuck in your throat. (as if he couldn't get in or out) I don't wish you this mini experience, because it hurt me physically

This is a leopard punch from KungFu. You should do push ups to train it, dont use it if you cant do 10 on solid ground. Also, this is used to attack Nerve points which there are many of.
You're a bit high with your targeting, the solar plexus is under your xiphoid process, but most people hit too high. An easy way to find the solar plexus is halfway between the shoulders and hips in the center of the body. It's also just under the third button on most men's buttoned shirts.

That punch actually comes from a shaolin kungfu fist style called danzi quan and when you throw a punch like that your arm must always be bent and never fully straighten

Shikan ken in Bujinkan. Requires an absurd amount of finger conditioning and is for the sternum or the neck/throat. One thing worth mentioning is that samurai could have a metal plate on their gloves that went up to the middle knuckle to protect their hands and fingers. Tucking your fingers in would therefore mean that you would strike with that plate, which I bet would hurt a lot.
Palm strike, knife hand, reverse or ridge knife hand, bent wrist strike, backfist, forearm strike, elbow, head strike, throws, all kicks, the other hand that isn't broken...

I'd go for the normal knuckle punch or maybe using the hardest part of the palm with the hand open, the danger of self injuring is decreased.
